Hey, first post on dakka dakka (I like the vibe here) and first army list too. I'd like to know if it would be good or not?

HQ:
Dante - 225

ELITES:
Sanguinary Priest - jump pack 75

TROOPS:
Sanguinary Guard - 4x infernus pistol, powerfist 250
Sanguinary Guard - powerfist 210
10 Assault marines - 2x flamers, power weapon 215
10 Assault marines - 2x meltas, powerfist 235

HEAVY SUPPORT:
5 Devastators - lascannon, 3x missile launchers 145
5 Devastators - lascannon, 3x missile launchers 145

TOTAL: 1500

First off I play mostly against marines like wolves and vanilla. Sometimes I face Grey Knights but not often. I also sometimes face Tau and eldar. (So I guess not many horde armies). So my goal is Dante goes with the SG squad with the 3 infernus pistols backed up by the sanguinary priest and take out some of the heavier infantry if there are some. The other SG unit goes after 3+ armor dudes or lower. The rest is pretty usual stuff.

Things to improve? change? how good is this list?

Hello, and welcome to dakka!

Your list is decent at best. As your meta is mostly MEQ, i would suggest a unit of PC devastators instead of two missile launcher devs. Also the LC devas are a waste of points, so rather get 4 ML into a dev squad. A stormraven would improve the list much. Assault squads look ok, but tje flamer one is a bit useless if you don't face hordes much. Dante and SG are impressive, but really expencive as a suicide squad. I have used them a bit myself, but when using them, you really need an agressive list that is in the enemys face the same time, when the SG deep strike, so the enemy has a real difficult choise on what to shoot on his next turn. Overall a good start IMO on your list.

i would suggest a chapter banner in dantes squad (drop the infernus pistols) because every one knows more attacks are better in CC and you can also throw grenades (krak) at tanks if need be also a good thing to get in a lrger point games is a hounor guard for dante (jump packs TH&SS) 285pts but very good list any way and welcome to dakka!

Infernus pistols in a squad that deep strikes with no scatter is amazing. Don't dump them.

Lascannons are not a waste per se, but they are $$ on devastators.

I have moved away from jumper lists with BA, since there are so many counters now, since the BA lost init 5 charges.

The model count seems low, but there are 10 sanguinary guards. My biggest issue with them is plasma makes them look like retards.

I run a very similar BA list myself. Personally I'd swap the devastators for furioso dreadnoughts. Gives you more anti MEQ, whilst also taking the anti tank weapons away from your sang. guard. I second Martel on keeping the infernus pistols.

Thanks for the input on the list guys. So the overall theme, besides specifics, I got from your comments is the list might need to be more aggressive to support Dante and his SG. As of right now I can't really afford the Storm Raven that was suggested (I know I should have mentioned that sorry), but I'll keep it in mind when upgrading my army later on. Also what would I drop to fit in the Storm raven if I were to get one? For now I think swapping the devastators for a 6 man plasma cannon one and a 5 man missile launcher one is a really good idea. Just a few questions regarding other things.

I think swapping the devastators for furioso dreadnoughts would really increase that kind of pressure on my enemy and could be what the list needs to succeed, but taking them would force me to lose 20 points elsewhere. What else would I drop? Also wouldn't this take away from my fire support devastators (which I always hear is necessary in BA jumper lists)?

Also what about no deep striking at all, and is it always worth it to deep strike Dante? Finally should Dante just be deep striked with his squad or should more of the army be deep striked as well?

I have to be honest here. It's not specific to this list or any player even. The BA codex is probably the 3rd worst now. Every list we come up with is going to have some deficit because of what 6th did to the way our army works.

I am combating this with distributed firepower utilizing fast vehicles. I retrograde, ie back up a lot in my fights and then only charge things as they get close to my firepower. Fluff-wise, this is horrible, but I got sick of chocking up "L's".

For example, with this list, if say a space wolf list deals with your sanguinary guard, you are done, because they assault teams aren't efficient vs grey hunters.

Chaos space marines put you in a similar situation. The have access to a ton of init 5, which will make it hard for the assault teams to win the fight.

You can try the dreadnoughts, but all AP 2 firepower is still going into those sanguinary guards. The BA just overpay for all their alleged power units in 6th.
