First weakness: its BA in 6th edition.

Second weakness: this list's ranged firepower sucks for 5K.

Third weakness: not enough AA for 5K. IG vendetta spam lists have 4 or 5 at 2K

Fourth weakness: A tiny amount of scoring troops for 5K. This reason is why DC should be treated as elites, not troops. They do not fulfill the function of troops; they are not troops.

How to win: the most trivial way is shoot their troops off the table and win on objectives. Use your bright lances/lascannons to take out the vindicators before they can do much damage. Disable the land raiders with melta and charge the DC or give them a sacrificial unit and then charge them. The DC suck if they don't charge. If Eldar, bring runes of warding and watch the libbys' heads explode.

Well. If you can switch out some weapons, it would be good. You really need to kill the vindicators with lances and lascannons or MM on vehicles with jink save.

A guided warwalker team will cripple a marine squad every turn. Kepe them alive if you can. His ranged firepower sucks, so maybe you can.

Use fire dragons in wave serpents as a fire brigade. If he deep strikes, melt them in the face before he gets to assault.

Cheers martel, your a quality source of tactical prowess! I was gonna use the fragons in serpents to push up and go for the vindis but i like your idea better! I'll try to get some more lances on my serpents and maybe on the wraith. If you get a chance it would be great if you could help me with a couple if queries.
1. Do you think the star cannon load out on the walkers is worth it?
2. Do you think my list has a decent chance considering i've really scraped the barrel?
3. Would pushing forward with a wraithguard/eldrad/karandras/lord and avatar death star be worthwhile or should i hold back/ split them up etc...

1) In general, scatterlasers are better than starcannons. If your opponent has any kind of cover, or say a storm shield, the double rate of fire is much better. Starcannons big trick in 5th wsa ignoring FNP, but they don't do that anymore.

2) I think you've got a shot because his list has a lot of wasted points, imo. They key will be take out the vindicators and put his assault terminators on foot. This means his LR must die. If you lances are busy with the vindicators, its time to use melta.

The other big concern is the 35? jump pack models he's got. Out of these, only 15 are super duper scary, the DC and the sanguinary guard.

3) Against that kind of BA list, I wouldn't push anywhere until his mobility is crippled. I looked at it again and his actual model count for 5K is pretty low. If anything, I would back away my mobile elements. Try to move the wraithguard such that a juicy jumper list lands in the "dead zone" of 10-15" away. Then, on your turn, you can move and blast him with wraith cannons.

Sadly, against this kind of list, you really want 9X dual scatter laser war walkers. This is especially good at punishing spess mahreens that don't ride metal bawkses. Double check to see if guide functions on overwatch. If not, consider giving one of your psykers divination. At 5K, more farseers would be nice but I know you are limited.
