									Hello,

I'm currently working on a new list where I use the Imperial Guard's cheap infantry as a source of good long-range firepower (lascannons), and a good, Orky, AP1 Missile.

  Here it is:

  Da Orkz:

Big Mek - Kustom Force Field

Boyz X20 - Shootas, 1 Big Shoota, Nob with Bosspole

Boyz X20 - Shootas, 1 Big Shoota, Nob with Bosspole

Boyz X19 - Shootas, 1 Big Shoota, Nob with Bosspole (Mek Goes here)

Battlewagon - Deff Rolla, 2 Big Shootas, Grot Riggers

Battlewagon - Deff Rolla, 2 Big Shootas, Grot Riggers

Battlewagon - Deff Rolla, 2 Big Shootas, Grot Riggers

  Fortification:

  Imperial Bastion - Icarus Lascannon

  The Imperial Guard:

Company Command Squad - Lascannon Team

  Guardsman Marbo

  Veterans - Lascannon Team

Vendetta (I originally had a Dakkajet in here)

  Deathstrike Missile Launcher

  Tactics:

The Battlewagons filled with Orks move towards the enemy, laying down volleys of fire, while providing a menacing target.
The Lascannons pick off any threats to the Battlewagons, such as Hammerheads, Land Raiders, and Flyers, which becomes easier with "Bring it down!" and "Fire on my target!"
Marbo is used to take out any nasty backfield things, such as devastators.
The Deathstrike goes off, hopefully eliminating some units, leaving the Orks to sweep the rest with shooting/assaults.

  Thoughts?

Looks okay but I dont really approve of you use of IG allies.

Firstly deathstrike, by the time it goes off... if it goes off then typically you boys would already be in combat. Its really the biggest unreliable one hit wonder in the game. AP1 isn't very useful apart from against tanks, but I doubt you'd use the deathstrike solely for hitting some tank it still needs to try and pen against.
Yes I agree on taking marbo, pretty much for dropping his demo charge off.
But with the lascannons... you have 2 on infantry and those on the vendetta. The CCS cant issue orders to the vendetta, so just itself and the vets will benefit. But then 2 TL lascannons is hardly reliable to knock out a land raider or even get range on a hammerhead.
On your units of boys, I would highly recommend a power klaw for each of the nobs and a burna for the big mek.

Since it looks like your taking IG to focus on tanks and then the boys for infantry and the rest, here's what I'd suggest.
Take the boys pretty much as is with the burna and pks, plus drop the riggers on the meks battle wagon.
Then the accompany them, a valk/vendetta attachment to deal to tanks. Rather than take vets to go behind an ADL, take them as melta vets in the vendetta. If you got two of these with marbo it would give you quite a nice fast anti tank attachment IMO. For this you can drop the fortifications and the deathstrike. The fortifications because the icarus isn't fabulous and also with only 1 vets squad, CCS and deathstrike to go behind the ADL, it isn't exactly making the best use of it.
With the couple of vendettas and battle wagons it would divide shooting a lot as the wagons are tough but slower, whereas the fliers give an immediate threat to the enemy which is hard to knock out.

Well I guess you wouldnt want to take a CCS as it would get left behind... so maybe a lord commissar to go with a unit in the vendettas, give them a bit of staying power and maybe a plasma pistol to match.

the only reason why i would take imperial guard as allies would be to get a vendetta with in there vet squad 3 melta demolitions+commisar lord and then maybe marbo or dont take them at all as allies. couse then you would spend to many points that you could have used to optimise your ork army

(the deathstrike missle, bad idea dont do it please)

Personally I like basilisk. But I'd say that people are split about 50/50 on it. Moral of the story is, replace the deathstrike with a manitcore or basilisk. That way you can do reliable (as far as artillery gos) blasts every turn. This you can use to soften up infantry targets or, in a pinch, try and use that str 9 shot on a tank. Keep in mind that all the tank tactics in the world won't be able to protect side armor from artillery!
Unless you're are against landraiders. In which case you will be amazed at what pks can do.
