So I decided to do a Knights of the White Wolf army and still be competitive. Every model in this list bar the steam tank is pulled by/mounted on horses. Comp wise, this list rates a 3.2/30 on the Swedish comp system. Any thoughts on the competitiveness of this list?

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

All-cav Empire lists are really hit or miss... If you want to do it, more power to you. You ABSOLUTELY need a couple of mounted Warrior Priests in
a list like this though. The re-rolls to hit/wound are invaluable when running with calvalry.

Also, maybe break that big block down into two more managable blocks? 24 makes one hell of a big, attractive target.

Finally, I'm curious as to how you're going to deploy the War Altar? I get the general concept (I think)... The big block ties down the enemies
large bodies of infantry, while the Gryph's are there to rip up flanks... But are you willing to take the War Altar along for the ride?

the altar is for the 6 inch buble of hatred and prayers, giving my general 18 inch Ld bubble, and for an extra banishment. He'll basically hover between the big knight unit and one of the demigryph units

But, considering that you're going to be buffing that 24x unit, you could simply put the Lector on warhorse and include him in the unit... Gryphs
don't really need the benefits that the Altar provides, they're nasty enough on their own, plus they should be hitting flanks well away from that 6"
bubble... That would give you another 126 points (After removing the altar and mounting the Lector).. that you could buy two more Gryphs, or 5x
more Knightly Orders with.
