Hello!

Maybe some of you might know me already by the name of Corvus. But since this name was already registered here I decided to use my real name as my login. I am 32 years old, live in Belgium, have two daughters and I work as a software engineer.

I have been painting a bit more than 10 years now. I played a little bit of 40k in the beginning, then some Confrontation, but very quickly started to put more time in painting than gaming. I am basically a showcase level painter with a number of rewards under my belt in national and international painting competitions. I will showcase some of my work in this thread but I think Dakka Dakka is not the place for this type of painting, there are other place for that which I frequently visit (Chest of Colors, WAMP, ...). I also have a blog which you can visit here: http://corvusminiatures.blogspot.com, and I'm active in several forms of social media, for which you can find the links in my signature.

So what takes me here? Well I am currently making the preparations for my first miniature game in 6 years: The Hobbit. A while ago I played a game of X-Wing (Fantasy Flight) and I really got the taste of miniature gaming back. Soon after the Hobbit set appeared and I was really amazed by the models. So I got the box as a christmas gift.

You can see the progress of this project in my project log here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/497436.page. Painting armies is something I'm not used to do but I am sure my experience as a painter will help me a lot.

So to finish off I will post some of my "regular" paint jobs. Take care!

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
