Lists:
Strakhov +6
Torch 10pt
Spriggan 10pt
BD IFP 10pt
Doomreaver x2 12pt
Widowmakers 4pt
Versh 2pt
sylas 2pt
Eliminators x2 6pt

His list:
Lylth
Striders
swordsmen
angelius x2
raek
typhon
shepard
spawning vessel (popping out harriers

turn 1 he moves striders into forest and everything else up. Riles typhon to max moves up forsaken and takes the fury. If the pics work you can see he totally ignores my right flank control area which winds up winning me the game.

my turn 1 advance IFP in shield wall, doomreavers on left flank move up and one engages the lead 2 striders in melee just to try and get them to be a speed bump. Right flank doomies run into the control zone on right. Widowmakers move up and pop all shoot angelious sniping to put 3 damage on her. Spriggan runs Torch runs strakhov moves to cover since that is the only thing eyeless sight doesn't ignore and puts superiority on spriggan and camps the rest.

turn 2 he moves striders up to pop shots at BD IFP & takes out 2 of them & the one doomie. Typhon moves up and sprays another doomie. Swordsmen advance & clump up and angelious flys over by striders on left and other one shoots at another doomie and misses. Lylth moves up and pops a shot at BD IFP and chains the - spines taking out 2 more.

my turn 2 run sylas into scoring position on right, mini feat & charge IFP into striders, charge the 1 remaining left flank doomie into swordsmen but fail to hit needing 7s. Move strakhov, pop feat, charge right flank doomies 14 inches into angelius, almost crumpping it (3 boxes left). Charge kayazy eliminators on lylth and put 10 damage on her (evidently defense 16 IS a bit hard to hit even with mat 9 from gang...) Charge spriggan into typhon leaving him with 1 box. move torch to block charge lanes to strakov. Widowmakers move and then shoot the forsaken dead. score 1 point.

his turn 2 he kills all the eliminators but 1, all the BD IFP, the last doomie on left flank, takes out shield on spriggan and angelius tags an awesome armor piercing 16 damage on torch, but his buzz saw, movement and cortex are still good. He had initially popped feat and moved angelius to shoot strakhov and wanted to boost damage, but I told him about the immune to fire and let him take that back. I score another point.

My turn 3 I crump the 2 angelious and typhon and clear out some swordsmen and then end turn scoring my 3rd control point.

Game notes: 2 units of doomies may die pretty easy, but they deny a lot of the board with their reach and abomination. His deployment totally denied him any chance of contesting the right flank zone so all I had to do was jam him in the left flank zone and contest and make it 3 turns... still was good fun. I really had just gotten Versh painted and wanted to use him, but he pulls out the 1 legion caster that only has offensive upkeeps.... lol no purgation for me...

What's this? Versh working for a Khadoran pig-dog and not the glorious kingdom of Cygnar? Perish the thought, it must have been a look-alike.

In all seriousness though, Versh is as fun in practice as he sounds in theory, especially against buff-heavy casters. Or low-armor infantry.

Also, excellent report.

Yeah I can't wait to get some use out of him. He may not shut down the casting, but he will make them think twice about it.... especially those squishy caster who like to have upkeep spells on themselves.

Well done report. Concise. I like that.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!
