So Just saw the new dark angels models here http://www.imperiusdominatus.com/2012/12/new-dark-angels-models-and-codex-from-wd.html Very excited to see what rules they might get, 2 new fliers is interesting! What do you guys think will be unique about their rules? Or does anyone know any yet?

I haven't found much yet. Hoping some Ravenwing rules leak out soon, as I've got over 30 RWing/White Scar bikes gathering dust

I am very interested in the fliers, lookinh forward to seeing their rules, I think I'll end up with a black and bone white army with very little green by the looks of things so far!

I'm sure it'll go something like;
a) Longtime DA players who've suffered through the abomination codex will be thrilled at finally having options and a competitive army.
THEN...

b) Flavour-of-the-month power gamers who only care about roflstomping baby seals and/or sucking the fun out their opponent's hobby will find some gimmicky, OTT beatstick list/s and have a field day with them
THEN...

c) The masses will come onto the intertubes and decry DA's as broken, over-powered filth and anyone who plays DA's is simply a bandwagon-hopping, WAAC, evil power gamer sucking the fun out of their hobby.


So in other words, it'll simply be another normal day here on DakkaDakka!

There will always be haters and power players, but any ideas what will be in the book especially after seeing the new models, how will the knights differ from normal termies and what do the flier variants have in store?

I am really excited for the DW Knights. They Shieldwall rule or whatever its called sounds really awesome. I can't wait to have my phalanx of termies slowly advancing towards the enemy with DW termy troops behind them lobbing miniature suns from their plasma cannons for support. All while the DJs in there speeders bust some phat beats. seriously though it will be awesome.

I do like those flyers. I play vanilla marines, but I think I'll get one or two to serve as Stormtalons.

So it looks like DW can field up to 10 in a squad? 1x Sgt, 2x with Heavy Weapons and 7x Storm Bolters/Power Fists (or LC or TH/SS)? That sound right?
