Hi guys, I've been hanging out over at Heresy, working on this log for about a month or so now, and thought I'd share it on my other favorite forum. So far it's been going a bit slow, I paint in my free time, between work days. Anyway, I've chattered enough, here is what I have done so far.

That's what I've got thus far. I'm taking a short break from painting so that I can model up some more stuff, I'm gap-filling four spawn right now, and will move on to the Hellbrute after that. I will try to update this thread alongside the one I have going on Heresy. Thanks for looking, C&C is welcome.

Got some WiP progress on my next model, the Hellbrute.



I replaced the face with this eye from the Spawn sprue, as I just can't stand the stock face that comes with the model.



I also removed the multi-melta in favor of another fist. I used some spines from the Spawn sprue (a must for any CSM army) and brownstuff to sculpt the hand. C&C is more than welcome, thanks for viewing.

That head replacement is so, screwed up, yet awesome!

You've got a really nice tabletop standard army here. The colours are all strong and work well with each other.

My only problem with these miniatures are their eyes. Some of them look alright, like the sorcerer, but most of them seem a bit messy, and that detracts from an otherwise pretty good paint job. I'd suggest using a smaller brush next time.

I was trying for an easy OSL type effect I watched a tutorial on, some of them look alright, others don't. I've been debating changing it to normal.

I chopped the hand on the sorcerer off of the cultist champion for the CC unit, which is why it isn't painted in the shots of the cultist squad I've got done. I'll be finishing him sometime this week, with his new tentacle hand. It was a pretty simple little conversion, but I thought the result would more than make up for any destruction I did to the models. I'm a big fan of simple, effective conversions. I do plan on doing some sculpting with this project, though, I have a tactical squad I plan on turning into a squad of plague marines, for example. Thanks for the comments, more to come in a few days.

Sorry for the late update, the Hellbrute has been finished for a couple days but I just got around to taking pictures.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, things got a little crazy at work for a while. Been hard at work on my spawn and my drake, which I finished tonight. Anyway, here we go with pics.

I'm also a big fan of simple, effective conversions Well done on the Chaos lord hand, it seems a fitting contrast to the DA Librarian from the DV set :nods:
