Hey folks,

I recently picked up a couple of the Platformer and Hexagon construction sets.

I wasn't crazy with the platforms hanging in space and obviously hollow platforms featured on the box, so I decided to try my hand at whipping up my own design. The results are below--

Note that there's a ladder on the wall near each of the ramps so there are three ways to get up to the second level. Pretty neat stuff, and well worth the money, I'd say.

PM me if you're in the area and want to play some Gorkamorka or Necromunda!

Nice piece and looks just the job for Necromunda. We used to use the exact kits you've got there and got some real good use out of them.

Just one Hexagon kit! It turns out you get a lot of stuff in the box. Here's what you can do with one Platformer and one Hexagon:

The Platformer kit I assembled into a several sections that aren't connected so that you can rearrange them for each battle. After playing with them a little, I'm thinking that I may want to reconfigure my Platformer catwalks into something a little more stable, but that's the beauty of these kits being snap together, I suppose. Really they're an amazing deal for anyone who wants some great looking terrain for not that much money.

These are some of the best pics I have seen of those terrain sets I have seen on Amazon. I am considering buying some myself. Thank you for posting them

Looks like they do a decent range of this kind of thing. You tried any of the other stuff? like the craters/rivers/walls? any idea what is good and what isn't cos this stuff looks cheap and cheerful

I'm glad you like it. I can't say that I've cracked open the box for anything other than the Platformer, Hexagon, and Chemical Plant sets. I'll be sure to put the Chemical Plant stuff up once I've got it together and I'm happy with it. At the price you really can't go wrong with buying a box and seeing if it suits you.

In terms of delivery to the UK, I see that they're for sale in the UK here: http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/conflix/terrain-construction-systems/cat_1091.html
Of course, you should probably shop around, and maybe you can find them for less money. Heck, maybe you can even convince your local hobby store to carry them.

I love these, have a couple as well... inspired to get another 2 large boxes I think and finish off some necromunda terrain.

I use these extensively. Drives me crazy that the two sets don't line up height-wise, tho.

I've found the pipes from the chemical plant set are really useful for adding detail to my conversions. My looted Wagon and Stompa both have little bits of piping added to them. I bought mine when I was on holiday in Australia in Perth.

I haven't even tried assembling it how you are supposed to, but the bits look promising.

Everytime I see this stuff I kick myself - a few years ago I worked for a major toy retailer at a time when Airfix were trying to push a wargame (Robogear) which was bundled with this stuff. It sold so poorly that the stuff got properly slashed in price, I'd have been picking up these kits for about £5 apiece!

Sadly I didn't see the potential and Hornby announced a recall on the range.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Wow I bought a small kit and a large kit (hexagon) a while back and was fairly impressed once I got the small kit assembled as pictured on the box.

However, I just didn't have the motivation to tackle the big box until I've stumbled upon this thread.

Great design! I will copy it exactly tomorrow!
