So I currently have about 15 riders of Rohan, 20 uruk-hai, and a box of easterlings. I have the weathertop set, as well as the Fellowship set. What I would like to know is what I need to get next as far as armys for both sides are concerned. Do I need commanders? Rohan commander and uruk-hai command? I would like to comtinue to have skirmishes, and work scenarios. I just ordered the kingdom of men book, as well as the latest rulebook and fallen realms book.

You need heroes. For every 12 warriors you need a hero.

Rohan: Getting the rohan commander set will give you technically 2 heroes, but only 1 can lead warbands. If I were you I would just use the huntsmen as a captain so you can have more than 12 riders. Also they are on foot so it would kind of suck with your riders, you might want to just get two mounted heroes instead of the command box if you want rohan, I feel that would do you better.

Also one thing to note, nobody will care if you use your riders as say royal guard on horseback, sons of eorl, or outriders as long as the are pointed out or differentiated, so with just your 15 riders you have lots of options!

Uruk Hai: So you will need at least 2 heroes again, in this case I would definitely recomend the command set because you get a captain and a shaman, plus the banner and drummer which are really useful for foot troops.

You might also just want to use your ringwraithes has heroes for your uruk hai, they would be fine but because you lack the Mordor book you wouldn't have access to the Dark Marshal profile, who acts as a banner. (banners rock)

Easterlings: For them I really like the command as dragon knights and the war priest are both really cool and fun units, especially together. Even more cool you get another hero so you could have up to 36 warriors with just one command! Also if you later decide to buy the mounted version of one of the dragon knight or priest you already will have the foot version.

Again I would just take more easterlings as you expand, Khamul could also be a cool hero but because you get 3 from the command he might not be necessary, up to you. Kataphracts are really cool addition, and also considering you can take black dragon forms of both kataphracts and foot soldiers it gives you a lot of options with just these two kits and the command.

Also one thing I forgot, if you want to expand on rohan foot troops are good with Grimsbold, really good! Also erkenbrand is a really good hero for your riders because of the upgrade, and if you want a cheap but efficient hero I would go with eowyn, shes def worth her points.

Don't be afraid to take special heroes for any army btw, most are definitely worth it. Just make sure you have a banner or two for your foot armies!

I'm having trouble finding a place that sells these guys! I want Eomer or boromir! The only place I've found is GW itself, and an ebay user that is selling ABOVE MSRP. The Warstore is where I buy most of my stuff, however, they don't seem to have a large LOTR selection.

Is this the same for minas tirith?
Because if got a friend who is starting LOTR at the weekend, but neither of us know the rules.
And if it is the same, do rangers, knights and trebuchts count as warriors?

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive.
Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

Basically, models are divided into Heroes and Warriors. For every twelve warriors you need a hero, but you may have lone warbands with a single hero. Any model in the Warrior section counts as a warrior, whether they're a Woses, Troll, Easterling, Ent, Goblin etc. I think for siege equipment each crewman counts as a warrior so for the Gondor trebuchet there will be 3 warriors (I may be wrong).
