This came up in a game a week ago. When fighting a challenge what toughness do you use in the challenge? The majority or the Characters. My opponent said the majority, I said the characters however I could not find in the 6th ed. rule book breaking it down. Only relevent thing I found was characters cannot be singled out. Maybe I did'nt look in the right place can one of you brainy-acks help a brother out.

In a dog eat dog be a cat.

Even though it pretty obviously should be Characters toughness, RAW it is majority. There is nothing in challenge rules that override majority toughness for CC.

As above. The rules are 100% unambiguous, but probably not what was intended

Yeah, the Challenge Rules do not reflect the Intention of the designers. I proposed these fixes some time ago.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.
