Nice work overall. The only criticism is that I think the plasma OSL is a little overdone on the Tactical Marines, but it's a minor quibble. Thanks for sharing.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

I have to echo the above poster. The overall quality of the painting is not in doubt - but the OSL is what I would consider to be way over the top. OSL should add that little extra oomph that makes a fig stand out, whilst in this case you've made it the primary focus and it just looks a bit off.

Other than that, awesome work!

I agree with the above posts, definitely great quality paint, just that the OSL is a little overdone, it's also a little off as far as where the light would actually be reflected, going down a bit too far on the sides of the guns, the hard ridge on the edge of the plasma conduit would considerably cut down on how much was reflected down onto the side of the weapon.

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

Very nice painting, the power weapons in particular are fantastic, as are the robes. The only thing that strikes me is that there seems to be a bit of variation in the basing schemes. Any particular reason for this?

I know that the OSL is overdone, but for some reason I like it.
So, great work!

No such things as too much OSL, so long as you can do it well, and you sir do it well.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Great painting! My only complaint is: Where is Ezekiel???

Really good job! Love your painting, but if I may, the lightning and the nmm highlight on the sword is a bit overkill

Thanks for comments ! It's really helpful to know what is good and what is bad. I admit that the plasma is overdone. Reasone of that is quite simple, that was my first OSL with an airbrush, so... Definitely I need more practice with that technic. Next time it will be better ;-)

@JBrehaut
Could you please explain me what "variation in the basing schemes" do you see? I thought I made it exactly according to basing schemes, maybe I have done something wrong.

800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard

I think he is referencing the difference in the slabs that the terminators are standing on to the grass and gravel that most of the other models are standing on as well as the chaplain looking as though he is on a darker surface than the rest of the force...

Again this is just what I am getting from his comment. I think the models look wonderful bravo!
