Logic = Power Weapon + fast attack ^ Power Scourge = scary?

It is listed under a the melee weapons portion of the armory, so just want to see what yall think.

Cuz IIRC Power Weapons aren't simply just equipping your champions with swords, you can choose between all the sub-sects of Power Weapons, no?

edit you may give you model any type of power weapon

Axe ..... great vs all armour but strikes at I1 but +1 strength
Sword ..AP 3 strikes at Initiative so great at killing MEQ
Maul ... AP4 ... +2 strength and strikes at Initiative ... this is an ork killer.
Lance ... AP3 str+1 on the first turn of the assault then drops to AP users strength. Not a fan might work on a raptor.

I think the only thing that can take the Power Scourge is a Hellbrute. I might be mistaken on that but you definately cannot take one on your Raptor Champion I'm afraid :(

I can't actually find the power scourge listed anywhere as an option someone can take. Someone correct me, because otherwise I'd assume it would fall under "power weapon," but that seems overpowered and outrageous.

Yeah, the only units able to take Power scourges are defilers and Hellbrutes, as its a walker close combat weapon. that's why its listed there in the armory. Its Strength 8 AP2.

To check what your Raptor champion can take, look at his entry in the army list to see what sections he can purchase from, most likely the ranged and close combat.

EDIT: it is not a power weapon like a maul or an axe, check the main rulebook for what power weapon sub-types there are

The power scourge is also an upgrade on the defiler.

Even so, a DE Agonizer is a power weapon, and is listed in the DE codex. It's a Power weapon with its own profile, just like the Power Scourge is.

The Defiler and the Hellbrute can get the upgrades, That is all.

it is not a power weapon it is a power scourge the profile can be found on page 64 & 105

I know, it's rather odd.. on page 64 of the CSM codex it's listed as a melee weapon within our armory..

Just curious if it's a power weapon or not and weather or not I can slap one of a meat-shield and run him into some people..

Power weapon (non specific) is the specific types of power weapon named in the BRB. There isn't a make your own power weapon up rule.

Because its a weapon designed for walkers. its not a "power weapon" per-say, its just has similar name. check the main rulebook for power weapon sub-types
