Since the Sisters of Battle lack any kind of real Apocalypse units, I decided to just use a Baneblade. Now that I'm nearly done painting I've been thinking about the points cost/rules.

Normally Sisters' vehicles have 2 things that Imperial Guard doesn't have, namely:
- BS of 4
- Shield of Faith

What would this be worth pointswise? Now Apocalypse is mostly a fun event at our club, so I'm not trying to create a monster tank.

My Faithblade will have:
* Vulcan Mega-Bolter
* 2 Sponsons with Hellstorm Flamer and TL heavy bolters on top
* TL Multi-melta for the center turret
* no Demolisher Cannon

The closest match seems to be the Stormlord, which clocks in at 500 points.

Now the BS 4 seems to mostly affect the Vulcan Mega-bolter, since the rest is either template or twinlinked. Would this be worth 50 or 100 points?
The Shield of Faith (6++ save) is usually too random for our normal vehicles to count, but it's still nice to have. I would rate at 25-50 points tops.

Now, since the Faithblade is an ancient relic of my Order, I was thinking it should be a very inspiring presence, which could translate to a number of in-game effects, for example.:
* All Sisters units within 12" count as having a Simulacrum Imperialis (re-roll Faith rolls)
* All Sisters within 12" pass Faith rolls automatically
* All Sisters within 12" get +1/+2/etc.. to their Faith rolls
* All Sisters within 12" are Fearless
* You get 2D6 faith points turn instead of D6 (since Faith is kinda broken in Apocalypse, being limited to D6 regardless of army size)

Would you think 600-650 points is fair enough for a BS4 Baneblade if it came with one of the above extra effects?

I would say about 620 seems fair for one of the abilities, two wouldn't be unfair at 650 points.

It's probably fair. You don't have the transport capacity or "don't move = shoot twice" rule of the IG version, so BS 4 and some sponson guns that still probably won't ever get to fire isn't going to break the game.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

It's more intended to rush at the enemy and die gloriously (for the Emprah). Which is what Apocalypse is all about, no?
