Hey Dakka I am going to be running the Crusade of Fire Campaign at the store .

If you don't know GW published their first Campaign book in, what feels like, a million years and it is pretty cool. We are going to start the Campaign January 8th which means you will need to come in and set up your player scoring sheet, let us know your army, and faction etc. That day may have the first round games if we get enough people in. If you haven't bought the book that is ok, but you should try to find a copy and give it a quick read through before the 8th.

The Campaign needs a GM or Games Master, which will be me, that participates in games but isn't really on either team or in the running for prizes etc.

The campaign is very story driven, with Warlord Traits specific for the campaign for your armies overall commander. So for the 8th what I would like you to have ready, in your mind unless your mind will forget it:

Your armies name. No, Imperial Fists doesn't work, it would need to be something like the Fist of Dorn crusade. Or if you're orks you would be the Skullsplitazs Waagh or something of the like. For example I will be playing Dark Angels/Traitor Angels. They will be called Nemiel's Redemption. The primary character is Nemiel a Chaplain/Dark Apostle. Part of the purpose for this is because my force will be inserted randomly into engagements and could be fighting against 1, 2, or all the sides at once. What better way to explain that than by using the twisted Dark Angels background!? While you may not necessarily want to go that in depth with your character or army background you need to have a force name, and an overall commander (both a name and a figure).

Some sort of back story as to why your faction is there. No need for a novel here just a quick blurb to put down on your player sheet.

There will be a binder in the store that will contain every players sheet so they can keep score of all their personal points they have earned through out the campaign. There will also be a map to show the progress of the campaign. It will probably run for 6 weeks but that is not completely determined yet. I am really very excited to do this league so please come in, sign up, and throw some dice with us.

Just a reminder that we are starting this tonight!

Tonight will be shop keeping night. We will set up the board, set up player sheets, and have open gaming among the league members. We will also use this time for players to take a look at the campaign and sort of do a Q&A session. I will be in at 6:30 with the binder, sheets, and my copy of the campaign book. In addition I have a game scheduled with Disdainful.
