Here's my current project, a Chaos Space Marine / Imperial Guard army.

The catch is that I plan on painting this before Feb 2nd, as it's to serve as a ringer army in case of an odd number of players.

Here's how the bunch of dudes stand as of last night:



I salvaged most of these models from ebaying, used from the LGS and various trades, which explains the primed predator and the out of shape tallarn. They will all be repainted. The 3 IG tanks I primed in Army Painter Skeleton Bone. The IG and cultists will receive similar treatement in the following days. The rest of the Alpha Legion will get primed grey and will follow a somewhat traditional Alpha Legion paint scheme.

The painting is so bad, the camera won't focus

Everything is now built and primed.



I'm still missing the power axes for the IG and 1 power Maul for the terminator because I'm waiting for them to come by mail. And an Aegis Defense Line that I have yet to buy.

Here's roughly what I got:

CSM ( Alpha Legion )

1 Dark Apostle

10 Marines, 2 Flamers, Champion has Combi-Flamer

5 Terminators, 1 Autocan., 2 Combi-Flamers, 1 Chainfist

2 Helldrakes

2 Predators with Autocanon and Las Sponson

20 Cultists with 2 Flamers

IG:

1 Company Command Squad with 4 plasmaguns
1 Primaris Psyker

Al'Rahem
4 Meltaguns

Veterans with 3 Meltaguns

40 Infantrymen, 4 Flamer, 4 Power Axes
1 Commissar with power Axe

1 Vendetta

1 Manticore

2 Chimeras

What I like with the IG's infantry, is that I can field a lot of different units with the models I have.

I should start with the painting either tonight or tomorrow.



Also, for the sake of pleasing the crowd, should I start with the Chaos stuff or the IG stuff?

It's not very helpful advice but go with the army that will be painted the quickest and easiest to a standard your happy with then you can add more detial to your prefered army. Hope it helps
