Raef "Hollywood" Granger returns for our special annual predictions episode!

Up first: Every December we make predictions of what will come in the following year, then a year later we see how we did. How did our preditions for 2012 turn out?
Then later we make new predictions for 2013. What do we think will happen to our favorite hobbies? And which of us will be most accurate?

All that and our other not-too-horrible segments including:

- Total Fan Girl
- Do You Ever Notice
- News
- & More

Please let us know what you thought of the show:

What's the over/under on how many emails Craig gets telling him that Grant is on the $50 bill and Russ was right, Franklin is on the $100.

I'm guessing triple digits.

Well, I wasn't going to send an email about it, but since some one brought it up I figured I'd just pile on to Craig's shame

Listening to the discussion of the Hobbit right now. It's great to have Raef back in the mix. It's like he never left

For Craig's box office prediction, is that US box office or global box office?

Here's 2012's top 5 US box office movies

4 - Skyfall - $296,900,000
5 - The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 - $289,206,000

And here are the top 5 global

I don't fancy the chances of beings that are paralyzed when observed against unblinking homocidial cyborgs with built-in ranged weapons, even as I like the former best as villains the the latter are sort of slow.

A major US gaming company will go down? Hmmm. Privateer are fairly careful about their expansion (sometimes too much) and seem to have weathered their growing pains from 2010, so they will likely be fine. Wyrd also seems to be prospering. I guess it will have to be one of the boardgame companies, if any.

I was laughing so hard when Craig made a prediction that was wrong and Raef and Russ said it was right. Craig called it the Trojan horse prediction.

The took it in as fact and Craig tricked them. Haha, so funny!

I have a serious concern about the predictions...does the "bonus" at the end (predicting the winner) count for points? Imagine this scenario...Raef wins by 1 point...therefore Russ is right about the winner and gets 3 points...which causes Russ to now win...which means Raef was right about Russ winning, and gets 3 points, putting him back in the lead, which means Russ was right and gets 3 more points....aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hi guys, great podcast as usual. As much as I enjoy the End of the Year Prediction podcast, the whole scoring "game" aspect of it takes a lot of the fun away from it if, like Russ, you have someone not giving their opinion multiple times. There's no prize to winning so be bold, be dangerous, take a stand. None of this "no opinion" garbage.

Also, and this is just my personal preference, but since this is a gaming podcast, it would be nice if more of your predictions had to do with... you know... gaming (and not the console kind), and not about movies, disasters, whether someone is going to announce another child or not, etc.

Hey, Guys. So . . . yeah . . . misspoke about the bills . . . not sure what happened there. It wasn't the strangest thing that happened involving $100 bills though . . . somehow I accidentally set up a filter on my email that sent any email dealing with $100 directly to the trash . . . weird . . .

Oh, and one other thing . . . I AM the Singularity.

Now we're ALL in trouble . . .

Far-stretching, endless Time
Brings forth all hidden things,
And buries that which once did shine.
The firm resolve falters, the sacred oath is shattered;
And let none say, "It cannot happen here".

it was very good to hear Raef back on the show, with the return of predictions. Which made me think that it seems a long time since we have had any of the occasional returning features such as "Mulling Mechanics". Hint hint.
