Really liking the straight forward war driven spirit in this!! The rough paintjob suits the miniatures very well. Please continue making these!

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Glad you started posting here! Your Orks are even better in person. You should make sure to do a thread dedicated to your Ork terrain board too!

More of a scenery update but hey its got some cool new things in it. We'll start off with the not scenery.

I love the stompa model, but cant use its many awesome parts in a normal game. SO I cut that bad boy up and made some of it into a batttlewagon. Its my piratship wagon, since Captain Goldtooth would need something awesome to ride around in. Now its paint job isnt done and she still needs lots more weathering but it is a start. And yes the chainsaw arm is a counts as deff rolla. No one has ever said anything about it. As for the many wire, it has lights. The mast has two yellow led flashers on it and the area with the steering wheel has two red flashers on it. So yes a battle wagon with turn signals. I had painted the flags and magnetized them for transportation purposes.

As for the scenery, I'm making a table of stuff to bring to the Bay Area Open. Now I could have built a diorama level detailed board, but it would be no fun to pay on since the models would fall over to easily on uneven dirt and debris and everyone would be worried about breaking the scenery ect. So instead I'm building lots of little pieces of scenery that look great together. The idea is to have an ork encampment near an imperial outpost, they have been slugging it out for some time. Orks on one side, trenches in the middle, and the imperials on the other side. It was a little tricky to get a placement style that didnt favor any one side, since this table will be used in a tournament situation. But I have figured it out and will have pictures of everything together once its more painted.

So here are some of the scrap items on the ork side. I made two collections of storage tanks and a scrap pile. The parts are mostly from a model train building kit with some supplement wooden bits here and there. Again the paintjob is on going as there are plenty of details fo me to pick out and more weathering to do. But youll get the idea.

I like the attention to detail. The lips on your orks (notably the one you use as an avatar) are great specifics. And, of course, your grot strategist is awesome.

And now for some craters. I simply took these plastic craters http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/pls/pls91695.htm?source=froogle&gclid=CNuuwP2ngLUCFSmCQgodizsAEg cut them up, mounted them with hotglue, put some dirt around them, and dry brushed the crap out of them. More realistic then the GW ones and a hell of a lot cheaper. I got mine at HobbyLobby for $6, made 7 crater fields. Could easily double as minefields. Since my table will have lots of trenches on them eventually, I figured we need some craters since you normally shell the crap out of trenches.

And the last scenery update for this evening. My wonderful fiance got me the full Wall of Martyrs box set for Christmas. I love her so much. So Ive been painting and weathering the snot out of that kits. ITs like painting 8 landraiders glued together with about 400000000000 skulls. So I have almost everything ready for the final detailing stage. Currently I have 3 pieces full finished. And before the trenches is a picture of the scrap yard coming together. There is one more big pile of tarped over scrap left for me to paint, a building for the boys to hang out it (literally a boys club house), and a Stompa in construction to complete about 70% of the scenery for the table. The last image is of my big Mek all happy in a loot'ed Bastion.

I will have to ask Reece to let me play on this table one of the rounds! If it weren't a major GT we could just ask for a round 1 grudge match on your table.

Grudge match, ...you mean an Ork shooting Gallery for your 'cron air list Haha it would be an awesome rematch. Since I cant the the sky shield here I swapped it out for an ADL with a las cannon. But the normal las cannon is to puny so I made a replacement with the killkannon from the Stompa kit. I have the real one for measurement purposes. Pictures to come soon of that silly mess as well.

Great minis! I love the land-pirate concept for the battlewagon... for some reason every time I look at it I think of the old Battlebots T.V. series that came on a few years back.
