I'm not entirely sure where this belongs but this is a modeling/painting question... sort of.

Now I've seen scratches painted this well before, but I am not to that level yet but I was wondering if you guys know or think that these scratches are in the actual resin model or if they come clean and you have to do your own dirty work.
