I find myself fighting Legion very often, as almost all my regular opponents play it as their main Hordes faction (nice models + very easy and straightforward to play). Problem is, with both my main forces (Circle and Cryx) many nice strategies suffers a lot due to Eyeless Sight.
I usually play Kaya for Circle (plan to try the Epic one asap, and to get a second caster soon).
for Cryx, I have two main lists: Asphyxious with lots of troops (and just a couple of Nodes), or Epic Skarre with jacks (not really fielded yet, just getting the models I need). I also own Denegra, but I don't use her very much.
Any advice on how better prepare for fighting Legion would be appreciated.

I'm a Legion player and my friend who also plays has two armies, Cryx and Circle. He, too, says he has a lot of problems with me but he is slowly working his way to a solution. He plays the Baldur's and Venethrax.
The biggest advantages we have are pathfinder and eyeless sight. If you can get us to engage where there isn't much terrain, you will be negating our bonuses. I have also noticed that I have a big problem with mass infantry, especially high defense infantry. I can hit a few of them but I end up wasting my fury on attack rolls.
It really matter which caster they are playing with. If they have a ranged based list (ELylyth, EVayl), you will want to engage as soon as possible. Ravagores will tear up just about anything. High POW and continuous fire can hurt even heavies and with scather, it shuts down infantry movement. If they have a melee list (Either Thags, Abby, ect), you have to be careful how to engage. We will kill what ever we hit but when we get hit back it really hurts. We also are very fast so you need to keep that in mind. You just need to get in the first few hits before we can get back at you.
Another big thing you can do is kill the shepherds. they are only a 1 pt solo but they do so much.
While I'm obligated to root for Legion, I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for advice, mate!
i usually face Lylyth or Tagrosh with lots of beasts, played mostly at close quarters (yes, Lylyth too), apart one particular nasty player who plays an almost ranged only army (Teraph, Ravagore, etc) lead by eLylyth, but I've got a Nyss Sorceress just for him ^^ while not a real solution, she can ruin his day, if I manage to keep her alive (very fragile girl).
for shepherd (and other solos) I usually field the Predator, ehm, Totem Hunter, and the Griffon light warbeast (flight + hunter + long leash mean I can get almost at anything on the battlefield then Spirit door it back).
I was also thinking on hide in cover (that is not nullified by Eyeless Sight) instead of concealement, there are warriors that create cover instead of concealement patches?

Legion is a faction that relies primarily on their beasts and their beasts are expensive. This means any kind of cheap anti-armor package (WM infantry) is going to make a favorable trade. In addition they tend to have a relatively low ability to apply lots of attacks to a wide area, their swarm tech tends to top out at the ravagore, which is good but is still ultimately just AoE 3.
I can't speak for Circle but for Cryx is basically boils down to bringing a bunch of banes. That tends to be Cryx's solution for a lot of things but it applies here too.

Legion beasts arn't particularly hard to kill, hitting them can be a problem of course. Buffs and Debuffs that make it easier to hit the enemy will always be useful.
I'm not sure if Cygnar or Cryx have access to anything with dispel. Thats always quite tasty against Legion, who often relies of having lots of Animi and Spells on their beasts.

Combo Striking Mechanithralls + Necro Surgeon= a lot of dead Legion beasts (provided you can lower their defense/knock them down).

My suggestion is to play at higher point levels such as 50pts. Helps enable you to include more tech instead of just the necessities in a more compact 35/25pt game.
Also, Legion beasts have DEF 11 on the Ravagore/Scythean/Carny chasis so its extremely easy to hit. If we have tenacity we are DEF 12 which is still very manageable. Our armor is not very good, so removing our heavies tends to be a less difficult task than other factions.
The Angels have a higher base def, and with tenacity they can be problematic especially since they can't be KD. Their armor with tenacity is only 18 so if you're able to remove upkeeps/animi its always a good thing, but when you hit, its going to hurt. 25 hit boxes isn't too hard to chew threw if you boost to hit.
Another note on legion, we are almost always outnumbered. There is something to be said to just jamming our beasts with cheap infintry while you apply the rest of your force elsewhere. Chewing threw lots of models is not our forte.

Prime Kaya is so-so against legion.
Epic Kaya is very good against them.
A unit of Druids with UA is good because they can create a counterspell bubble and they're immune to fire.
A unit of shifting stones with UA will allow you to shove warpwolves down legion's throat. Then use eKaya's feat to port your army to a safe distance. Free alpha strike, no retaliation.

Deneghra has access to lots of debuffs and is great unless you plan to shove your big scary heavy down their warlocks throat in which case the witch covens curse of shadows is great for makingt those "oh crap where the feth did that come from" assassination runs. The Coven also has infernal machine (+2 speed and MAT, causes terror) which if added to Ripjaws makes great warbeast killers(a possible 30 odd damage if you load out 3 focus, walk in and dont boost). Bear in mind that Legion was created to kill cryx both in the fluff and in the models.

The best way to deal with legion from a circle perspective is to out run them, and make them pay for everything they do. a good starting point is Mohsar, a wold warden, 2 woldwyrds, and a warpwolf stalker.
Mohsar has a ridiculous amount of board control that he can do with 9 focus every turn ( maltreat the stalker, before its activation so that it can heal the damage back) if you geomancy sunhammer, thats 3 pillars of salt (which can overlap any terrain piece, even eachother, and which block sprays) and a spell of your choice. Imagine the assassinations possible when you curse of shadows a carnivean and then eat the caster behind him.
You need to pop both wold wyrd animi every single turn, and you need to geomancy sunhammer every turn. The woldwyrd is a 5pt light beast thats often overlooked by people. its fast, cant be knocked down, has one of the best animi of any light in the game, and has purgation and witch hunter. its always fun to make your opponent pay double for every spell, and then to be able to take potshots at him on top of that.
the stalker can move fast, hit hard and do it at 2", which tends to lower fear of reprisal, plus its so freakin' strong it rips most warbeasts in half with its first two hits.
As far as infantry, you should probably go with anything that says Tharn. All of the tharns are fantastic. WORD OF ADVICE: do not field minimum squads.
One last word of advice, take a minimum unit of wolves of orboros and keep them as a second or third wave unit. they are a cheap jumping point for mohsar's sands of fate and can save you from getting pinned in melee.

no prob. the main thing to remember with him is that he needs to either hang back, or boomerang back at the end of his activation. he's also a 10 dollar caster MSRP
