Is there any good substitutes for Testors Gloss and Dull Coats that can be brushed on?

They are for applying transfer decals for 40k, but I cannot find brush on Gloss or Dull Coat at any of the hobby stores around me?

The Testors sprays are lacquers, which is overkill for decal application - they offer fantastic protection, but they take hours to dry and stink like hell (still use Dullcote as a final finish, but not for in-between steps). Gloss and matte acrylic varnishes, which are more than up to the task, are offered by most of the usual hobby paint manufacturers (I use Vallejo, personally), but arts and crafts stores have options, as well. Fine arts paint manufacturers like Golden and Liquitex offer brush-on acrylic varnishes, as do craft paint brands like Folk Art, Apple Barrel, and the like.

Vallejo has great varnishes you can brush on, they come in 60ml bottles as well as small 17ml dropper bottle sizes.
