The list is prety much straight forward

15 stormvermin stormbanner
Having real trouble here if stormvermin are worth it. The reason why i Field these are most for a mini hammer unit and the stormbanner but instead of this then i could field monks but i think stormvermin are much better than those shitties. better survival/ but a bit less dmg but no big difference. The god thing about stormvermin tho is they filling up core choice.

Lets say i end up with 650 points in core.

Now i Need some backstabbing either I go for plain gutter runners with or without warp grinder. OR i field warp grinder with clanrats. Maybe with a engineer or maybe not thoughts ?
PS if i field them with clanrats i might take monks instead of stormvermin as a mini hammer unit. Thoughts?

As far the point cost is at 2056 if we count Core fills up 650 points.

Overall I think this list can be strong im not after friendly games Im after destroying my opponents!

There are many melee chars so it can get a bit messy on the battlefield what you think about that ?


Anyway please give me your personal experiences and thoughts on my current setup and what can be added since I play 2.4k points. Have like 300 points left.

The reason why I dont have grey seer Is because I find 1 Priest and 2 engineer more flexible they can do more togheter on the battlefield. They have more survivability and over all their point cost is lower for what they do Compared to Grey seer (my thoughts) Commend this 2 :

What kills your opponents... just the hellpit abominations and magic?

Granted, the abominations can do that, but I don't think you need 220 slaves...

As mentioned above, you'll struggle to actually kill anything with this. Also, if you're looking for the most competitive list around, not taking at least 1 Grey Seer (2 Grey Seers is a bit old school but could still be viable based on your metagame) is a massive handicap. Skaven magic is obscenely good.

There are a variety of good Skaven lists around on the internet at the moment, have a look at some of the 2012 ETC lists. The Screaming Bell Deathstar unit is pretty good, especially if your metagame revolves around ogres.

You can only have one condenser and one doomrocket per army. I would +1 taking a grey seer, and a warlord. I find a 3+ 4++ warlord with the sword of might rather useful. You only need 120-ish slaves. in units of 40. As for the stormies, drop em to minimal and keep em at the back for a character bunker with the storm banner. Then clanrats. With weapons teams. Two units of 9 gutter runners with poisoned attacks and slings are auto includes, I find. If my maths is correct a unit of 9 should mean that you get 3 poisoned hits a turn. Thus allowing each unit to remove a war machine a turn. Then you're better off with 2 cannons and a hellpit. From there it is random chaff. I find jezzails to be fun but not too competitive. I also think that taking those dudes with magical flails is useful in an army with no access to magical attacks other than characters,

I have heard that the rare section is overpowered for skavens. So Its better to only have 1 Hellpit instead of 2 ? And also is the doomwheel worth it?
If i field only 1 hellpit Is it good to have like 4 Warp lightning cannons?

I can´t find where it says that you are only allowed to have 1 of condenser/doomrocket etc.

You can always only take 1 of any magic item in an army unless is says so specificially.

Most of the skaven rare section is really good. With the exception of the plagueclaw which is meh. The doomwheel is good against chaff. The hellpit is good against most things, BUT it is random. You have little control of it's movement or attacks. It has a regen save, which most people bring the tools to deal with in a competitive setting.

As for the cannon, it is a 90 point cannon, which is cheaper than others that ends in a template. These are the most reliable of the rare choices.

And as for the 1 of each magic item, the rulebook says so, under the unique section of magic items.
