I find the models to be staticy and, well hard to find (and if I do find them, they tend to be expensive)
So was curious if anyone knew any good alternatives, crappy codex or not, I'd still like to give them another chance

Well going by previous examples, i.e. Blood Angels, GW should be releasing the new Sisters of Battle stuff sometime around April. Might want to wait until then.

well I'd rather invest in a 3rd company and not wait on rumours and overpriced GW stuff

Rumors for new sisters have been consistent for over 10 years.

If you want cheap sisters, I have seen some promising conversions from dark eldar and SM bits.

If you are willing to wait, Dreamforge Games will be producing a unit of female Stormtroopers in hard plastic, estimated to be available around May, the "Schwarze Witwen".

The unit hasn't been shown yet, but the strong implication has been that it will be very similar to the KS exclusive model "Ada" (more pics at link);

Note that they will not have that gun, it's specific to Ada. The kits will both come with their own weapon selection and will be compatible with the varieties of weapons on the other infantry sprues for Iron Core.

Yeah, and the last wd sisters codex had like 9 years until this one.

Hehe, if you say so. I'm not quite so... enamored, shall we say, with GW's styling. While the SW box details have not been released, we can assume they will be on par with the accessory sprue found in the Stormtrooper box (lots of information here);

For those wondering about the size comparison, the male trooper compares to a "popular brand of 28mm figure";

I'm going to try my hand at converting those stormtroopers to sisters of battle. Have everything except the heads figured out. Just haven't found any that really look sisters of battle ish.

May just say screw it, these ones don't dye their hair white, and buy female heads that look cool

I gotta say those conversions aint half bad. Probably the best you can hope for as i doubt GW will get round to the Soritas any time soon....

A little more cutting and refinement and they'd make great Sisters. That said i still think the originals mostly hold up for their age....

I also don't know anything coming near Sororitas design (except one unit of cc sisters by Warmachine).
So best bet is to either buy the current ones piece by piece or wait a long time for new ones.
Or wait until Mantic makes copies (they actually have shown concept sketches for Fantasy).

Themetically - sisters are a harder one to find 3rd part manufacturers for.

There are several companies who do "nuns with guns":

http://eurekamin.com.au/index.php?cPath=220

They wouldn't be a bad starting point - though they don't exactly have a Sister of Battle feel to them with the "power armor" and what not.

There are also several companies who do "battle nuns" in one form or another:

http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Habit/latest

The nice thing about those is that they tend to be wearing armor - which considering how little about the SoB armor actually says power armor...well, it kind of works. Of course, you will need to provide them with ranged weapons...but generally, that isn't too difficult.

If you want to leave the religious aspects behind and go with something more free form - things open up a lot more. You could use a VASA army and fill most the army slots without too much difficulty (Archangels for seraphim, Marines for regular sisters, maybe supressors for the celestians).

If you are looking to stick with GW products for whatever reason - there have been a couple of different armies which can be found. Female Eldar chests are generally the starting point - though as will many things like this, you end up doing almost as much from scratch as you do actually using parts, so it isn't for the feint hearted.

Statuesque Miniatures sells helmeted female heads, but the bare heads currently only come with the full kits.
AAN did a pretty good job with one of the them, although he used the metal Kriegsmarine instead of a Stormtrooper:

Another approach is to get the Hasslefree female bald heads, sculpt a "Sisters" hairstyle and cast your own heads in resin.

I'm really liking the look of the Dreamforge stuff. I hope the female troopers end up looking like that one character. That'd be awesome.
