Subject: Advice for building a Kahdor army for the journeyman league

Hello everyone! I'm new to Warmachine, and I need some help building a list for the journeyman league event starting this upcoming week. The rules of the league state that the general buildup of the points must contain everything in the battle box up until the final week (35 points) where anything goes.
Considering the cost of grabbing so many models, I figure I'll stick with pSorscha and her battlebox jacks even at the end. So far I have built a 15 point list (rather easy imo) and a 25 point list.
15 point list
pSorscha
Destroyer
Juggernaut
(4)Widowmakers
25 point list
pSorscha
Destroyer
Juggernaut
(4)Widowmakers
Winterguard Infantry (9 and leader)
Wintergaurd Officer and Standard
Kovnik Joe
After this point I kinda feel a bit lost where to go. I was thinking of grabbing a manhunter as a guard for sorscha against a wardog as I don't plan on sending my warcaster into melee range outside of the odd assassination run and a manhunter is useful as a guard or hunter in my eyes. Otherwise I am not fully sure how I would expand to 35 points. I can't grab any new jacks because I must have the battlebox jacks so I can't replace the destroyer or the juggy (no beast 09 for me.)
If it helps I know that I will probably be facing the legion of Everblight and the protectorate of Menoth, and occasionally another Khador player. Automatically Appended Next Post: Woops, I just realized I put this in the wrong board. Is it possible to move this to the list discussion board?

You'r starting list looks good and really with the battle box its about as good as its gonna get.
Personally I wouldnt waste the ManHunter as a body guard. He is a guided missile that needs to be sent forth to cause death and destruction.
As to the wardog, it is awesome for its def bonus and countercharge, However I would encourage you to look at Sylis Whesidfgereer. He gives you a free upkeep per turn and +3 inches on your spells which is pretty awesome for pSorcha.

First, his name is Sylys Wyshnalyrr. Second, he only adds 2" to a spell cast by the caster without using an arc node.
He's really not that great with sorscha since the only upkeep spell she has is Fog of War and that isn't really that useful. The war dog is much better for her.
If you want some punch you may want to look at the Great Bears. If you want to use manhunters then take a look at Yuri. A drakhun also is a worthwhile investment. Since you have widowmakers you may want the marksman solo. And you should see if there are any mercenaries that interest you.

Wow I had never seen the drakhun before. That solo sounds monsterous.
I was mainly interested in manhuntes for the asthetics but the drakhun sounds like it my bring more bang for my buck while being a little easier to use.

I know his name its just more fun to start typing it right then just pounding the keyboard. Your right, not sure where I came up with the 3".

After looking a little more I think I know what my 35 point list is.
35 point list.
pSorscha
Destroyer
Juggernaut
(4)Widdowmakers
Winterguard Infantry (9 and leader)
3 Winterguard rocketeers
Winterguard Officer and Standard
Kovnik Joe
Man o War Drakhun (+dismount)
koldun Lord
I will admit I am starting to wonder if I should be using a full winterguard outfit as I hear pSorscha doesn't synergize well with them, and they might not have much punch in a low point game. I think they would be useful at tying up enemies though.
The mounted drakhun sounds absolutely monsterous and I figure the koldun lord will bring some utility and help ease Sorscha focus starved playstyle.
Does this seem like a solid build? Or should I look more into mercenaries? I admit Gorman Di Wolfe sounded pretty awesome.

It's a good solid list. WGDS does love some Iron Flesh, but with Uncle Joe there you still get fearless and tough. WG are a great tarpit and at lower points should be able to give you a bit of board control. The can't really be ignored because of the CRA.

The rocketeers are kinda meh imo. Those 3 points could go towards a more effective solo, but it's up to you.

Thanks for the advice about WGI darefsky! It sounds like they are perfect for a beginner like me to help slow down my opponents.
Thank you for the advice surtur, but what units for three points would you recommend? I mainly grabbed the three rocketeers because it comes in the box anyways but I'm open to suggestion if you think I should try something else as we'll. I'm still new to the game so I need to play around with other units anyways.

Rocketeers can fire regular CRA shots with Winterguard and
they have the option to spray. Since you'll be doing some Bob
and Weave to keep their DEF high they also give the unit a
longer ranged threat than they'd otherwise have.
