LOOK
AT THE HUGE FETHING ARMOR IN FRONT OF THE CREW.
That is entirely not manly, good sir.
They are sitting on a little metal balcony, that ISN'T EVEN ON THE TANK, and firing a fethhuge gun at essentially point-blank range.
And laughing while they do so. The shield isn't to protect them. The shield is just to brace the manliest of manly guns so it breaks the enemy instead of itself. That's how manly it is.
A Basilisk is what happens when two men look at their tank and say "feth the entire top-half of the thing, rip that out AND STICK THE BIGGEST GUN
WE CAN FIND
TO IT."
Point blank range????
It's min range is 36"
Considering that 36 inches is roughly 53 meters to scale (if I did the math right)
And considering that the Earthshaker cannon can (comfortably) hit things 15km away. Converted, that's 10,009.5 inches (brought down to
40k scale).
That's not shooting across the board, or even shooting at another table, no, that's shooting at a board across the street.
And despite all that range, they move their guns at least within the 204 down to scale inches. That my friend, given the alternatives, is point blank, and why they are the manliest. They could shoot at you that far away, but they move in close, to hear the barrage hitting home and watching the carnage themselves.
