I only just saw the models and they look awesome. The game also looks fun and it looks like there is a lot of potential (in my eyes anyway). Does anyone here have any experience with the game? It appears to be on a scale similar to Warmahordes - am I correct?

Thanks!

Sounds interesting, any links to the models/game?

Seems to be some factions heavily based on real Antiquity armies:
Halodynes - Classical Greeks
Mortans - Early Imperial Romans
Wyldfolk of Annyr - Celts, but looks more Gaelic (hurrah!) than Gallic or British
Nordgaard - Vikings

Then there are the Banebrood and Troglodytes.

My favourite model must be this:

I found the game a little frustrating to get started with. For a skirmish game, it requires a lot of pre-game prep, as it has a character card system but also allows you to customize your units and characters with extra equipment and abilities that alter their points.

Beyond that, the rules were fairly vanilla. It seems to be mostly running on the strength of a pretty miniatures line and a (moderately) well-rounded setting. That said, if time and money weren't an issue, I could definitely see myself pitching in for some Mortans - I love me some fantasy Romans!

They might end up on my painting desk at some point. Not sure if they'll make an appearance in my rules library.

That's interesting to hear, thanks for that! By a lot of pre-game prep, how much was there?

More than I was prepared to slog through! I reckoned that, having sat down with our unit cards and proxy minis, it would have taken us 30 minutes to get to actual dice on table.

Oh wow! Maybe I'll get the models to paint or fill in my future SAGA army, but not play!

I think once one was really used to the game, it would be much less. But the learning curve seems rather step. Minis are cool, though.
