I like chaos but slaanesh did not get the love I hoped for. The dark angles are looking pretty sexy though and I was thinking if I brought chaos painted them slaaneshie with doomrider raven guard. Would it be cool are you think people's heads would explode from the site of a dark angles codex being used for an chaos army.

What did that old ugly Doomrider do anyway? It can only help him to have a better looking model, even if it is a loyalist model.

Well I figure in the old rules his bike was to be considered a jet bike for the chaotic powers it had and Samuel is a jet bike so why not.

Also, are you talking about Raven Guard, or Ravenwing?

There is a very big difference.

I get very annoyed when people constantly name things wrong. Another fine example of this is Epidemius. Most people tend to call him Epidmus or Epidermus.

If you want to run DA as chaos, go for it. Just make sure all your stuff is WYSIWYG, and I would have no problem playing against that. I know a guy that runs Imperial Guard codex "Nurgle Guard" and has all his vehicles heavily (and awesomely) converted. His flyers even have dragon wings.

In the spirit of the thread: *Dark Angels. Although I'd personally like to see an army made up of angles in various states of darkness.

On topic: If your gaming group is happy for you to use Doomrider in your games, then I doubt they'd object to you using Sammael instead of the Doomrider model.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Even as a DA player, I would have no problem with it, just as long as you follow what the *current* DA codex says on p77 'just make sure your opponent is aware what everything counts as' then you can do what you like. And yes this is in a bit concerning successor chapters but I think it applies here as long as it is only the DA codex that is being used for the army. Some people might object but this is a hobby, aren't we meant to have fun with modelling as long as we follow a specific set of rules?( BRB and one codex)

I figure I would ask because I'm sure if some one pulled out a bunch of CSM bikers and a chaos lord surfing on a bike on a wave of flame say here is Sammael and here is my Raven wing army. They might have a word or to say about it. It would be like some one bringing tau and playing them with the guard codex.

Those [i]were[\I] guardsmen. They were hiding their identities to confuse their enemies.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Now that's the sort of thing that would tick DA players off.
