Okay the entire platoon of Capt. Al Rahiem must outflank.

question 1) First off if i take a heavy weapons team as part of the platoon, or a special weapons team. Do those 2 teams count as individual scoring units? (i know they have to be 2 seperate squads)

question 2) Also A special weapons team in Capt. Al platoon must outflank

Can you put that special weapon team in a Vendetta? though it is not a dedicated transport, the vendetta itself has "Scout" which allows it to outflank, not hindering the special weapon squad, "outflank a must" rule.

Thanks,

-Todd

1. Yes they're both scoring units.

2. Debatable as the IG FAQ seems to remove scout. (two sides to the argument)

Q: What effect, if any, does the Scout special rule have on a Valkyrie or
Vendetta? Will this allow it to enter play in Turn 1 by redeploying 6"
onto the board? (p56)
A: It has no effect.

1) Yes. They are seperate troop units
2) Yes.

1) Yes. They are separate scoring units, AND also give separate kill points when destroyed. If you have a platoon with two infantry squads and two Special weapons teams, that platoon is worth FIVE kill points to the enemy. Be careful!

2A) While your second question is not a question: Yes, all heavy weapons teams and special weapon squads attached to the Al platoon MUST outflank with the rest of the platoon.

2B) Yes. The outflank USR confers the bonus to whatever transport the unit is embarked in, be it a chimera or a Vendetta/Valkyrie, or even a CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT. Keep in mind that you roll for the ENTIRE platoon ONCE to determine if it arrives from reserves. They all arrive together, and they all outflank from the same table edge.

^^ EDIT: the above is incorrect. After a quick re-read outflank is only conferred on dedicated transports (in this case, Chimeras).

thanks a lot guys for the clarifications.

And i also didnt think outflank confers to a vehicle unless its a dedicated transport. So also good to know.

Cheers!

2B) above is incorrect - you only get to "confer" outflank if you are taking a dedicated transport
