So here is what I have been running for my wolves lately and I've found it to be effective in objective games but a bit lacking when it comes to KP missions. Any advice on what I can do to improve it?

Ragnar=to many points for what he does

Arjac=to many points(remember that you HAVE TO issue and accept challenges with Arjac)

as for the wolf guard i don't really like claws(more P.F,S.S) but you can still use them

try and get another squad of long fangs with 5 missiles (S8 AP3) or (S4 AP6 small blast)=140*3=420pts for 15 missiles XD

AEGIS=GOOD

Thanks for the advice man!
But I think he's well worth the 240pts for the buffs he gives to the WG, him being a bit of a CC monster when you factor in saga of the warriorborn, and that my goal for this list was to have it themed as a strike force from his own company with all the droppods and big WG retinue.

I am curious why you think arjac is a liability because he always has to issue/accept challenges? I know he's quite expensive at 188pts, but he is intended to be a challenge monkey with eternal warrior and always hitting on a 3+ with 5-7 S.10 TH attacks with rerolls to hit against MC/IC's.

I gave all ML LF's a try and it was not bad at all, dont get me wrong, but my meta has an overabundance of younger marine players who play footslogging lists and the PC's just do such a better job than the frag missile for only 10pts more. So after going from all ML, where I couldn't kill AV13/14 to save my life in 5th edition, to 3xLC/2xPC at the end of 5th ed(which was disustingly effective but over 200pts/squad), I am now back into my wolves and really digging my mixture of the two previous iterations of my Long Fangs.

Do you see any improvements that could be made to my GH's? I struggle sometimes with them getting bogged down by hordes or overrun by CC units but the wulfen has proven to be effective in dealing with lights vehicles/walkers in addition to the two previously mentioned things thanks to his d6 rending attacks.

Thanks in advance, Pat

In ur base, killin ur d00dz

The only change I'd make to the GH is to make them either pure plasma or pure melta, don't mix and match. Have a dedicated weapon for each squad so they can be more effective rather than hoping to use both. If you see armour go after it with meltas, same with plasma for foot sloggers.

Also, me personally, I like to have WG in my GH packs just to add to leadership and extra attacks.

Ragnar - 240

For 240 points, I would rather have a wolf lord on thunderwolf with all the trimmings. But honestly, you'll get more mileage from more infantry.

Rune Priest - 130
- Runic Armor, Wolftooth Necklace
- Powers - Prescience and Living Lightning

Lose the wolf tooth necklace. Your RP has a WS of 5 and already hits almost everything on a 3+ anyway. Furthermore, he's not really a CC type character. If he ever gets into CC with an enemy that he DOESN'T hit on 3+, chances are he's going to die and your WTN won't really help. Save the 10 points for something else.

Wolfguard Pack (7) - 541

- Assault Cannon/Storm Shield with Mark of the Wulfen
- Two PF/SS
- Three pair of Wolf Claws
Land Raider Crusader - 260

Holy expensive units batman. My advice? Exchange Arjac (too expensive) for a wolf priest (preferred enemy is the bomb). Then decide if you want this to be an assault unit or a shooty unit (one or the other not both). I think MotW is not cost effective on a WG model. That said, once you get into CC, your assault cannon becomes a 30 point baseball bat. Why does he have a SS too? Also, three SS's is 90 points. You don't need more than 2. With the saved points, put combi-plasmas on the WC's . It should look something like this;

1 Wolf Priest terminator
6 WG Terminators
2 with PF + SS
4 with Combi-plasma + WC
LR Crusader + MM

EDIT : On second thought, terminator armor may not be necessary on the wolf priest because he already has the 4+ invulnerable. If you give him runic armor, it costs the same as termi armor, still gives him 2+ armor / 4+ invuln and he takes up less space in the LR.

These are perfect. Just remember not to mix the meltaguns with plasmaguns. That is, a unit should either have 2 plasmaguns OR 2 meltaguns. Not one of each.

Two Units of:
Long Fangs Pack(5) - 135 (manning the ADL
- Two Missile Launcher
- Two Plasmacannon
270pts

You don't need 4 plasmacannons. You DO need more lascannons. Consider upgrading two plasmacannons to lascannons in one unit and adding another ML long fang to each unit to max them out at 6 men each.

Aegis Defense Line - 100
- Quadgun

You should have enough points left over to get another unit. Maybe a lone wolf. Maybe another rune priest.
