Khorne hates magic. Tzeentch loves it. I'd like to get a Tzeentch-marked sorceror leading some Khorne-marked warriors, but this feels like fluff implosion, and I'd rather go fluff-first with this army if it comes down to that. Is this a feasible combination at all?

WoC are just slimy mortals. The GODS hate each other. Humans aren't gods. Humans think turning into a gibbering spawn is great, because it's attention from a god. So if the guy next to you is blessed by one god or another, they are still going to think it's awesome. They worship Chaos in general and sometimes a god in particular. But that's not necessary.

It's like the royalty of the middle ages. You could marry the Princess of France when you were a prince of England, but you couldn't marry a commoner of England.

Besides, even DoC groups with each other. In fact they were designed around it.

They may be designed around it at the moment. However, for a long time, there actually were rules about Gods not working together.

Honestly, no one is going to think poorly of you for mixing marks, but some will recognize old fluff, and enjoy seeing it is still alive.

Also, funny enough, Khorne and Slaanesh don't get along. Same thing with Tzeentch and Nurgle. So, as weird as it may be, but Khorne and Tzeentch is more acceptable than Khorne and Slaanesh.

Actually, Slannesh is Khorne's opposite. Tzeentch is his neighbor.

The mortals will work together and so will the Gods. Khorne doesn't hate Tzeentch any more than he hates Nurgle.

GT: That's not exactly true. Khorne definitely despises magic. As I remember it, past editions have positioned Slaanesh as Khorne's antithesis, but it has also been clear that there's no love lost between Tzeentch and Khorne.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

Yeah, but its not something that would totally prevent them fighting together.

I just have my warriors worshipping khorne, martial honour, glory in battle etc and have the 'shamans' be followers of tzeentch as they are seen as the seers and tellers of things to come. The warriors will seek khornes blessing in battle but respect the great shamans of the tribes for they have the power to see all. Often the shamans direct the warriors to battle.

Glad to see I am not the only person who thought of that

Huh, didn't know Khorne hated Slaanesh more. I need to read more closely.

I'm starting to lean towards a mono-Tzeentch army anyway, but good to know a few reasonable ways to sneak in some Khorne worshippers down the road so it can click in my head.

Am I right in saying khorne hates slannesh because when they spill blood it is not for the blood god but for themselves? Also that slannesh hate khorne followers because they 'spoil the fun' of keeping the victim alive?
