So I am working on a gaming table and was going to make a river of magma....or is it lava?....Anyways... how do I make it exactly?

I would imagine that the vast majority of the work would be in the colouration of said river. Perhaps looking at some pictures of lava flows might give you inspiration?

Rocky debris could easily be represented on terrain as, well, small rocks and gravel, I think. Maybe the occasional ball bearing half-seated into the board (to form a hemisphere showing) to represent a lava bubble.

Search for the tutorial on here that uses acrylic caulking (any decent hardware store, not too expensive) combined with layered MDF. Essentially the caulking will texture it, although I've seen a variety of different texturing techniques for magma (I didn't bookmark my favourite that I'll have to find again one day, but I think it involved using resin as it gave a much more realistic effec although resin in bulk for a table will be expensive) The tutorial I liiked also had little magma slurps sploshing up too.

Hope this helps.
