Quite a few google searches have brought me here over the last few months. Today I finally signed up.

So here's my Warhammer history...

I painted several 40K models in my uni years, never quite finishing an army. I'd buy almost an entire army, paint a few models, see cool models from a different army, buy them, paint a few, see more cool models, buy them, etc., etc. That cycle meant I have painted some Ultramarines, Orks, Dark Angels, Tau, Eldar, Daemon Hunters (I think they're now called simply Grey Knights) and Tyranids.

I've read quite a bit of the back story, but I have never played a proper game.

I then drifted away from the hobby for a few years...

I recently rekindled my interest and thought, for something different, I'd check out WFB. The Island of Blood box set has some nice models so I picked it up. I've finished painting the High Elves and just started on the Skaven.

I've always been drawn to the Dark Angel's backstory and the cool new models in the Dark Vengeance box set proved too tempting. I have, however, committed to finishing what I start this time around and won't paint the DV models until I finish all the Skaven from Island of Blood.

After I've painted both the DA and Chaos models from DV, my plan is to focus on expanding my Dark Angel force and make them my main army.

And I'll hopefully play my first game soon.
