Battle plan
Monster Lysander drop pod in first turn with stern guard and combat squad the 5 with 3 flamers Sgt. squad with lysander to shoot at an squad or other HQ while the 5 with combi melta hits their best vehicle and re role because of Vulkans ability

while the enemy is dealing with lysander and Stern guard
the land rider with Vulkan and termies should relatively receive little fire because of the monster in their back yard

Tac squads go up to middle ground and shoot and defend the mid board area
Scouts set up on home objectives with the TFC getting an glorious 2+ cover save

Storm talons come in to really hurt other air support or enemy tanks

TFC hit enemy troops defending objectives with scout support

Later in the game Tacs go back in rhinos to drive up and contest Objectives ( if they are still alive that long)

I Tried to use the best of Vulkans rules and lysander to get the most of the points


Any thoughts on how this list is?
Will it work?

I love lysander/vulkan lists and yours looks good, though, 20 scouts is a lot in all considering, maybe drop one for a dreadnought in a drop pod to pop a tank, as that will be one of your bigger problems with this list is knocking out vehicles turn one, then, if you get first turn, you can drop pod the dreadnought instead of having to throw away the lysander unit or place it across the board if they castle. At 2500 pts, lysander's unit will be dead in the shooting phase if they consolidate their forces in setup.

As much as I love lascannons, the typhoon is probably a better choice for you flyers.

I'm curious to know how 20 scouts works out at 2500 pts. I simply don't know the answer to that.

Maybe your right about the 20 scouts being a tad much
But its a cheep unit that causes pinning and rending. backed up with the Thunder fire cannon and tech marine giving the scouts a 2+ cover save and mowing down in comeing troops I think they will do fine

I might be more tempted to trade them for a Drop Dred but one of the player i play against have a lot of scarabs (Necrons) and they completely destroy my drop Dreds and any other vehicle they get close to.
and he is expecting me to play them so this will also catch him off guard by dropping stern instead of a Dred

Necrons are tough. I just try to build all comers lists and make them roll 6s. The regular marines have a higher model count than BA, so that should help some.

Thats what I attempted, i got anti infantry anti tanks and anti flyers

But you think I should have Thpoon missles insted of the las cannons?
