Played 40k for around a year on and off, only played a few games as I'm more into the painting side. So, this is my list think with the 6th ed I don't know if it will work so that's why I need the feed back!
Hq
Reclusiarch with power fist and combi-plasma 155
Troop
10 assault marines with 2 meltas power fist and melta bomb 240
10 assault marines with 2 meltas power fist melta bomb 240
9 DC all with bolters 180
( storm raven multi melta plasma cannon 200)
Death company dread with blood talons 125
Elites
2 sanguinary priests with jump packs 150
Furioso dread extra armour and drop pod 160 (blood talons or fists?)
1465
I have an extra 35 points don't know what to do with?
Idea is to have death company with reclusiarch to get re-rolls to hit and wound in cc, so they can rapid fire and then charge for 2 extra attacks and plasma just to use on some terminators- spare points! Gone with power fist and also crozius arcanum to get the best of both. They will be in the storm raven with the death company dread as one half of the force to tear stuff up! Two ten man assaults to be very versatile with meltas and cc attacks, will stick sanguinary priests with them. Furioso will come down turn one to take fire off assault troops and hopefully pop something with melta thought the av 13 would be more appropriate for this.
Please reply with any help and sorry for any mistakes! Thanks.
Zak

I know a lot of people say DC are 'dead' in 6th, but knowing they can't take objectives is half the fun.
Let the assault marines sit on objectives and have them running around beating the hell out of everything.
I would say, if you are going Jump Assault AND have a storm raven, it might be tough to have enough models on the table by the end of turn 1. Maybe 35 points can be spent on a drop pod for the DC and Reclusiarch and get ready to cause madness. I would maybe drop the DC dread and play with more points.

You have way too much in reserve for a 1500 point game. I don't even take stormravens at 1500, much less mobilize the DC in it. Against a good list, if you roll a 1 or 2 on turn 2 for reserves, you are in for a lot of trouble!
Lose heavy armor on the furioso. You need to do damage as you are waiting for reserves so make it a fragnought. It's still got one blood fist as a fragnought.
If you are going to use a stormraven to assault with, give the DC cc weapon and bolt pistol. The extra CC attack gets furious charge love and reclusiarch love whereas shooting does not.
All that being said, I think DC are terrible at any point level and I would never use them. Sucks fluff wise and sucks because I own 15 of them, but there you are. The BA codex is nerfed to the point where "fun" stuff basically means you are not even trying to win. I can enumerate the nerfs, but I'm sure its been done elsewhere and you'll figure them out after a couple games.
It's why I play sissy angels now and shoot.

Iv come to side with everything Martel says, he knows what he's talking about when it involves Blood Angles.
And To be honest he has convinced me that DC are not worth it. extremely pricey and can easily get mowed down by enemies fire just like an normal Assault marine.
Trade them for tactical squad or more Assault marines you would probably be better off that way

The DC are passable in a LR, I guess. But that's still what? At least 450 for one huge charge? If they end up charging a 5 man combat squad, that was a total waste. Feeding a crap squad to assault terminators is an art

Thanks for the reply its good to know that DC arnt very good. I just thought with rapid fire, furious charge extra two attacks on the charge and re-rolling they would be beasts. 6th has really thingsnup! I'll have to re think the list then, is stern guard with drop pod and combi plasma/ melta good idea by the way?

DC are good, but just too expencive. Combimelta stern in pod are a good alpha strike suicide squad to nuke one of the enemys heavy tank in turn 1. I hovever don't use them, because if playing againts an enemy, that does not run hard to destroy targets like LRs, i feel like they are a waste. They are not troops, so usually they go to waste if they got no big target to destroy. I prefer a TAC squad with melta, MM and sgt with combimelta, because they can perform a dual role as they are troops, so if there are no good targets, i drop them to a mid field objective. Also by taking ten of them, you can put the melta weapons in the pod and combat squad the five normal guys and hold an objective while half of the squad goes to a suicide run in the pod.

Not really. I have a ton of BA models, so I kind of pick a theme and go. I rarely know my enemy ahead of time so I try to build lists that are good in general. I find this very difficult with BA in 6th edition for a few reasons.
First, its insanely easy to build a tiny BA army. This is the kiss of death in 6th edition I feel. No matter how many gimmicks we pile on, we still have a bunch of T4 W1 guys. Torrent is a serious issue. Shoota boyz, Tau, noise marines, pick your poison. I don't like losing to a single turn of cold armor save rolls.
The BA are designed to do all this HTH stuff and we just straight up lose to too much stuff now in HTH. No init 5 on the charge means that any init 4 unit can cause casualties back. This is on top of being shot at on the way over plus overwatch fire. Plus, I've seen a 30 man ASM push neutered by having the lead squad assaulted by terminators. You either pile to save your comrades or navigate around the mosh pit. Just kills all your momentum.
I try to stick to lists with no death stars, with a lot of distributed shooting with just enough HTH. If some enemy squad deep strikes, I assault them and drive my shooty assets away from the drop zone using the fast mechanic. While shooting them, of course, because we're fast.
Essentially I use all the BA "KILL THEM IN THE FACE NOW " tech to stay away and shoot. Ridiculous fluff wise, I know, but I'm not the one that nerfed furious charge, FNP vs small arms and CC, and assaulted from stationary transports. Oh and made our ASM squads and sanguinary guards lose to terminators. Its just depressing that CSM can make a smuck no name chaos marine a better BA than the BA codex can.
