Let me start this story off with saying that I don't think I am anywhere near any type of painting competition, I'd be skeptical to enter one at the GW store. Either way, a co-worker of mine saw these Space Hulk termies that I got from Byte, a friendly Dakkanaut, in the raw. When I told her that I painted them, her eyes seemed to cross, so I showed her my desk jockey Chaos Termie Lord, to which she insisted that I did not paint, because she did not think that I had the patience, or that I was steady enough, the list goes on.. She then said that I should prove it by painting one of them and she picked out this particular one "Sergeant Lorenzo". With out further build up.

Why didn't you invite her out, on a date, specially to watch you paint ?

I can certainly relate with any man who uses spite as a motivational tool. Also, good job; sure, nothing you did was groundbreaking, but your painting is very solid and up to a very decent standard.

I think you should nail your shading (some bits are a bit flat) and then enter it into a painting competition. Your painting is neater than a lot of entries I see at my local one.

Aye, it's neat enough. Now it's all about pushing contrast.

Also as said earlier shading but other than that its really good, the details were done neatly and far better than a lot of the stuff I see at FLGS or have ever done myself. (you have more patients than me)

Hahahaha! Sadly she is 40+ and married with 6 kids, literally 6 kids. I'm gonna have to find a real special one if she wants to check out my brushes

haha, I am actually still working on faces, I want to learn how to do the stubble look and such, this one turned out Ok as far as I am concerned

bahahah! hers is a clown car I think, at least it's probably had a lot of clowns in it before, they're not all from the same guy
