Thanks for the orders so far. I am selling these for $20 +$7 shipping now. I have both styles of paint racks available (pots and droppers). You can look here or search for TheIronBow on Etsy if you would like to purchase one.

This paint rack hold 48 paint pots and 12 brushes. The assembled rack is approximately 15.75 inches x 6.5 inches x 4.75 inches. The rack is laser cut from 1/8th inch hardboard and comes unassembled. All necessary assembly hardware (0.5 inch 4-40 screws and nuts) come with the kit. Not included, but necessary for best fit is glue, wood glue or PVA glue will work. Personally, I have been using Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. The rack holds paint pots that are smaller than 1.25 inches in diameter. I have personally tested Model Master, old and new GW, and P3 pots and they all fit with no problems, although the old hexagon shaped GW pots are a little inconvenient when removing them from the rack.

US buyers only, I am not ready to try shipping this overseas.

You can purchase the rack for $20 plus $7 shipping ($23 shipping to Canada) on Etsy by clicking here.

If you have any questions just let me know.

*update - was able to change price to $27 total (including shipping)

**update - I have started shipping to Canada, although it is more expensive ($23 USD just for the shipping costs).

Agreed! Luckily nearly all dropper pots are the same size.

Now that you mention it, I do have one design (click here) so far for dropper bottles.

This paint rack hold 54 dropper style paint bottles. The assembled rack is approximately 8 inches x 12 inches x 3.25 inches. The rack is laser cut from 1/8th inch hardboard and comes unassembled. All necessary assembly hardware (0.5 inch 4-40 screws and nuts, and four rubber feet) come with the kit.

The rack holds dropper bottles that are that are smaller than 1.1 inches in diameter. I have personally tested Reaper, Vallejo Model Air, Vallejo Model, and Vallejo Game with no problems. This rack "locks" the droppers in place by holding them around the rim of their cap. Also,, the bottles are angled slightly downward toward the cap.

$27 ($20 for the rack and $7 shipping)

*update - changed shipping from $5 to $7 to reflect change in postal rates.

I have added a new paint rack style to my Etsy store. This paint rack holds the craft style paint bottles. I know many of you don't use those, but just in case . . .

You can find it here or by searching Etsy for TheIronBow.

Thanks!

I would appreciate being able to mix and match shelf types ... to allow for both dropper bottles and the standard GW pots. Nice work though.

I would be interested in one that holds the Vallejo Model Air paints upright like your GW style one. Any chance you could cut one out of acrylic instead of hardboard? Pm me if you are interested I need something to hold all of my paints.

On January 27th the postal rates increased and I just couldn't ship the packages for $5 anymore. I am having to ship them for $7. I forgot to edit the original post to change it to $7 for shipping. Thanks for making me aware of the discrepancy.

My wife said the same thing! It might take me some time to get a new design worked up, but expect to see a stadium style dropper rack in the future. As far as acrylic, the only reason I haven't offered them yet is the increased time and material cost. Acrylic cuts a little slower than the hardboard and costs way more per sheet. I have considered it though, just didn't know if anyone would be willing to pay the extra cost.

I would appreciate being able to mix and match shelf types ... to allow for both dropper bottles and the standard GW pots. Nice work though.

That is a good idea. I will keep that in mind for some future iterations of the racks. It will be a while though . . .

Thanks for all of the comments, feedback, and orders!

I will keep trying to put new products out there as long as someone is interested in them!

I am definitely interested in a stadium style dropper holder stand and will be the first to buy one. I also would be willing to pay more for one cut from acrylic as I like the material more than hardboard. Please pm me if you make either one available as I don't check the sales forum too often and don't want to miss this.

I thought I'd chime in and say that I got two of the dropper bottle racks. I'm quite happy with them, although there are a few minor issues.

The big thing I like is that they are kept dropper down, which IMO helps keep the tip from clogging, and makes it easier to keep paitns (especcialy valljos) mixed. It also holds a lot of pain in a small foot print.

One downside for me are that you can't read the paint name wihtout pulling a bottle out. It's not a big deal, and I like seeing the color rather than the cap, but it's there. A bigger problem is that the rack isn't the easiest to move without holding it from the bottom. grabbing the top plate pulls the holes and pegs out of alilgnment, and so you can't just pick it up and go with ease. Now, stadium style racks have the same problem, but it'd be awesome if these had a handle or something for ease of moving.

All in all, if you have a dedicated workbench, these are great. You can keep the paints you use most ready at your fingertips, and scanning the rack for the right color sure beats rummaging around in a bin.

This is a great project. I'll be keeping an eye on etsy for when I can get my hands on some of these, since I use both droppers and pots.

That is really good feedback. I hadn't thought about people wanting to move them around that much. I just set mine on the bench and leave it there. I will work on modifying the design so that there is at least an option for easily moving them around. My first goal when I am designing something is "make things as simple as possible but no simpler" so I went with a simple assembly, but I may have sacrificed some needed functionality in this case.

Thanks for the feedback, I really do appreciate it.

Awesome start to a great product. I would love to order one, but this is the only thing holding me back. Problem is I just cant think of a good way to fix the issue. Maybe having a way to label the droppers?

I have an update to my paint racks. I now have a rack that may work better for those who want to store dropper bottles and be able to see the labels at the same time.

You can see more details about the rack by clicking here, or by searching Etsy for "TheIronBow".

Also, I do have a brush holder now as well.

Are any of the slots big enough for the army painter brushes?

I only have three Army Painter brushes:

- Wargamer-Regiment: only fits in the larger holes
- Wargamer-Stippling Brush: only fits in the larger holes
- Wargamer-Small Dry Brush: will fit in the smaller holes

Also, just for more information:

- Windsor & Newton Series Seven 0,1,and 2 brushes all fit in the smaller holes.
- Citadel Starter, Small Dry Brush, and Medium Dry Brush all fit in the smaller holes.
- Back 2 Base-ix Champions 'n Heroes only fits in the larger holes (and it sits a little low/short)

I have not found many brushes that don't fit in the rack somewhere. The only ones that I have found are either very large (and probably not used for miniature painting) or very short. I have a 12/0 Artist's Touch angular brush that is only 5 inches long and it barely sticks above the top level.

I hope that helps!

Wow. Those are really nice. I've been keeping my paint in some foam designed for it, and I have far more paint pots than I do foam. I just pulled the trigger on one.

I purchased a few racks and I have to say that I am extremely happy with them. They are a great value for the money and the service is excellent!

I had 2 parts break in shipping due to rough handling and they immediately sent out replacement parts that I received 2 days later.

Fantastic service and just great people!
