Hey guys, I'm starting a Dark Eldar army because I love their models and fluff. I'm not very educated about their tactics and models. If you guys could post how well Dark Eldar are doing in 6th and what their most viable lists are in 6th, it would be much appreciated.

It depends how fluffy you want to be with it. I think fluff makes the game more fun. Thats just me though, others disagree. You could do flesh circus with haemes, groteques, and wracks; you could raider/venom spam with warriors shooting out of open top and haywire wych squads for antivehicle; you can run beastmasters or reaver spam. What were you leaning towards more on fluff and we can whittle it down to what is effective and still fits in the kabal

What are the units you really want to use? Most units except Mandrakes can be used in good lists, so pick out your favorite units and build around that. For example, I like Reavers and Hellions, so a Baron list with 18 Reavers is what I went for and its a ton of fun.
So what style do you want to try?

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool... |

I find that DE thread rarely gets bumped to page 1, not a huge DE following it seems. I used the 1d4chan Dark Eldar 6th edition tactics thread to read up on the models and see how things fared in 6th. Then I just picked out the models I liked and ordered up my army based around that.
You could do the fluffy route Exalbaru mentioned. Some people have done well with grotesques and wracks for an assaulty army.
I'm doing Raiders and Venoms for a fast army with lots of dakka. Everythings open topped so it's vulnerable, but you're able to pump a lot (and I mean a lot) of poisoned 4+ shots into a unit. Slap splinter racks for rerolls in your raiders and you can annihilate a squad a turn if lady luck is on your side. The DE battleforce is a great buy from what I've researched and assembled so far.

DE are called the glass hammer for a reason. And he is correct, the battle force is a great buy. Whatever you decide on you will need the raider anyway and it gives you all useful models
If you have the funds and like the models I'd even say go for two of them
