I finally kicked myself in the rear and got to work on my Striking Scorpions (I know they are useless in 6th but they are fun to paint and good practice).

Here is the first one (almost finished)
Still need to put the varnish and the gloss on the gems and basing.

What do you guys think so far?

I think it looks quite nice - my favorite aspect, nicely done!

Looking good, Your scorpions actually make me fancy painting some, while GW's ones just kinda didn't lol.
I'm working on my first ever Eldar unit at the moment hehe, 7 metal swooping hawks that I got about 15 years ago planning to do Eldar and then never did....I recently came across them while searching for something else happy days! They're making a lovely break from my Dark Angels and Skaven collections even if it is only one unit to put on the shelf.

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

They look mighty fine! The green looks very smooth and those tiny spots of colour like eyes and gems look pretty good! Only problem I see are the exarch's dreadlocks. The gold area looks a bit blurry? That's the best word I can remember

Neverminding that, awesome work!

Nice! I have always considered scorpions one of the hardest eldar aspects to paint right. I might add some wash to the armor (black or green maybe) to deepen the contrast, especially on the hands and arms.

Thanks and yes they are an Eldar Aegis which I will hopefully finish this week-end. Also has a quad gun/Lascannon and comms array. Still need to do the lining with oil paint and seal everything up with another coat of varnish and should be ready for action.

If you are curious about it you can check out my plog which has more close up pictures of it.
