Wasnt sure where to put this.

Which rules supplement would be most current if i want to field blight drones in 40k games ? I am scratch building a unit of three and will need to have actual rulebook for them to play at the local store. (official GW bunker store)

Thanks in advance for any info.

I believe it's in Imperial Armour Apocalypse Second Edition

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

IA:Aeronautica, actually, where it becomes a flyer.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

This would be the correct answer as they are not in the Imperial Armour Apocalypse 2nd Edition book. Can't understand why they made these into flyers though...

Because thats what they are.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

I guess it's more to represent them being a small, quick moving target so it's harder to hit. (Small compared to say, a Stormraven.)

Have you ever seen a Blight Drone in person. They're pretty big actually.

Because that makes them sell a lot better than being a skimmer.

Ah, well I've only get them in IA 7. Time to pick up IA:Aeronautica then I guess

Obviously given my question I disagree. I picture them more as hovering slugs, not rapidly moving flying slugs. Hence I don't see why they needed to make them into flyers. The cynical side of my brain wonders if it was done because they weren't selling enough because they died too easily as skimmers. I love the models so have 2 of them in my nurgle collection, but they seldom last beyond the 2nd turn of a game, and when they do it is only because something bigger is drawing the opponent's heavy weapons fire. They are so fragile it is tough to use them effectively at times. You want to enable them to shoot at necessary targets, but need to also minimize the number of units that can return fire at them. Now as fliers they can only be hit with 6s unless the weapons firing at them have the AA characteristic. Guess I need to add the second edition aeronautica book to my list. Though I doubt my regular opponents will care if I continue to play them as skimmers and easily killable.

Yes, I think they are a fair size.

Unless that was a scratch build I saw. looked just like the pictures. The guy that had them is a pretty darn good modeler

Really, when did you see a huge bug creature floating around your house spitting acid at the neighbors' dog?
