So hey guys, my thought was to use a Thunderwolf in place as a Word Bearers lords Bike, as the bike model just isn't impressive enough for exalted Chaos Lord.

So I was going to buy this model as the basis of the conversion work....but my real question is, would the lion head from the storm of chaos chimaera fit this model?

I need the thunder wolf to not look like a thunder wolf when I'm done, so ill be adding rows of spines and a completely different tail as well. Any comments or ideas also welcome. Thanks guys.

Why not use this as the mount?

Far too khorny. While I'm using chaos marks so that many units are specialized in one thing or another, this will be (thematically at least) a purely undevided army. Plus, rules wise this lord has the mark of Nurgle on his bike. Wouldn't feel right throwing him on a juggernaut

These 2 might make good mounts, and you can always use the leftovers to make more bikers for ur army. These things are cheaper than ur wolf lord (41, not 69 aus from where im from).
1) Warrior of Chaos Warhounds - http://store.miniwargaming.com/images/D/chaos-warhounds-hk91j.jpg
2) Vampire Counts Direwolves - http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2009/11/29/67001_sm-Doom%20Wolf,%20Undwead,%20Vampire%20Counts,%20Wolf.JPG

Or you can just add spines, armour, and spikes to chaos-ify the thunderwolf. The chimera head might be a bit difficult, but with the right conversions I think that you can make it look kick ass.

Warhounds and Direwolves are fairly small, and would look rather silly with a Marine riding them. I'd avoid that at all costs.
