This is the first Warmahordes list I have ever made and I am still learning the rules and in fact I do not even own any models yet. I do however want to plan out a list of some sort so that when I am ready I will be able to expand on the 2 player battle box Khador (because I am starting with them those models are auto-include in this list). We will be allowing lots of proxying as long as base size is the same because we are just getting into the game so we need to learn different styles so if you know of anything from the starter box that would be a good proxy for something else that might be more effective feel free to share it!

Khador 35pts

eSorscha (Warcaster) - She comes in the set which makes the choice between eSorscha and pSorscha. I chose eSorscha because of her ability to boost Winter Guard units, Multi-fire which seems like a good ability since she seems to lack in killing power anyways I do not forsee her front lining it and I figure the more hits the better. She has +1 Jack Points and Iron Flesh seems wonderful.

Destroyer (Warjack 9pts) - Comes in the box and his shooting ability seems like it would be good in a support role.

Beast 09 (Warjack 11pts) - I think his synergy with eSorscha seems to be rather effective. Thresher attack combined with eSorscha feat could be a potent combination it seems. Proxy from Juggernaut in the 2 player battle box. Use standard Jug instead or roll with Beast?

Eiryss, Mage Hunter of Ios (Solo 3pts) - I really like her attack types and the ability to prevent focus allocation and ignore cover and concealment. I am wondering if taking pSorscha to combine concealment with her already high Defense would be better. I want to make sure I am understanding her ability correctly Camouflage adds an additional +2 to defense if in cover or concealed so with Fog of War from Sorscha she would effectively have an increase of +4 Def?

War Dog (Solo 1pt) - Just to give Sorscha some protection from assault. Yes or No?

Man-O-War Shocktroopers (Unit 9pts) - Pretty straight forward I think. They come in the starter box they seem rather resilient and they appear to be able to put out some punishment. Should I proxy them as a different type of Man-O-War?

Winter Guard Rifle Corps (Unit 8pts) - Some long range support that seems like it can really do some work. Went with the smaller unit in favor of adding some more solos to the list (might not be the most beneficial so let me know if that is a bad idea)

Alright there is the list. Again this is the first list I have EVER made and I have not even read the whole rulebook yet. These units seems like they could work well together and I may be completely wrong if so let me know again remember I am starting with the 2 player battle box set so any changes to the stuff from that box should be changes to something they can fill in as a proxy for.

Thanks everyone for your input I am really starting to like the way this game looks.

eSorscha & battlegroup: Your choice of putting Beast 09 in Sorcha's battlegroup is a good one, as is the Destroyer, however, I wouldn't use the Destroyer as a ranged support unit. It does some good damage, but has a measly RAT of 4. You can keep the Destroyer, but remember that it can be put to better use in CC. The bombard can still be used to good effect if you fire it at units such as: mechanithralls, trenchers, holy zealots, etc.

Eiryss: I do believe that she would gain +4 Def, but eiryss is meant to go all the way out there away from Sorscha killing whatever she can.

War Dog: Yes.

MoW Shocktroopers: Again, I don't have these guys, but from what i've seen, they are definitely a good unit. Great for hitting warjacks and heavy infantry, but if you want a MoW unit that professionalizes in killing infantry, go for the Bombardiers, or Demolition Corp. (I actually have these guys )

Winter Guard Rifle Corps: Winter guard... I actually don't know much about these guys... some Khador player I am though check BattleCollege, there should be some info on these guys over there.

With that said, I shall back away slowly and ominously and disappear in a puff of smoke, then smuggle some fruit across the border in order to stay competitive with the veggie cartel.

eSorcha is looking to deliver a killing blow to your opponent's army. You spend a couple turns setting it up and then destoy as much as you can on feat turn. As such, you'll want a full unit of Winterguard infantry with the UA and Joe. Beast 09 is fine by himself. You really don't have the focus to fuel two jacks. Man o wars are just terrible. Too expensive, not enough armor, and too slow make for a waste of points. Ironfang Uhlans and Kayazi assassins will perform much better. Fill out with some of the mounted solo and some mercs for support. Goreman for clouds and blind late game, Lady Ayanna and Master Holt for magic weapons, eEyris is there to knock upkeeps off your stuff and theirs.
