Uptil now I've been running a pretty unremarkable model to make up my legion Praetor till I could find a suitable model to make up to fill the role. Without further ado here is the model who can take the role now:



I tried the wings in several places due to a prior mentioning of them being potentially movement impairing on the shoulder but none gave me quite as nice an aesthetic, I also dont have decals for the banner and didnt want to ruin it with bad freehand.

This guy looks great. Do you have any plans to fancy up his banner or are you going to leave it blank?

I need to either dramatically improve my freehand (practicing on other models, not risking this guy) or accquire some decals with my next purchase. For now blank is better than a poor banner.

Thanks guys, here's the army so far (or atleast the painted part), I still have another 10 terminators to paint up before I move on to some of the more specialised units:

A teardrop with wings would be a simple freehand to try out on the banner. Try drawing it on with a pencil first.

Cheers guys, the army is slowly growing with the next step to be to work on the Praetors bodyguard (need something more fancy than my existing Cataphracti for them, also going to be working on a Legion Champion soon and possible Apothecary.

The job you did on the OP Terminators wings is top notch. Furthermore, the highlighting on the helmet is outstanding.

I do not normally utilize terminators in the tabletop or in my armies but, you make me wish to buy some like those for my Knights of Blood. Furthermore, the Dreadnought on the right came out spectacularly. I'm looking forward to you doing an Apothecary; should you desire to do it.

BTW have you thought about doing a Contemptor Dread?

I have a contemptor for my DA successor chapter (for 40K) and really enjoyed the model, its something I want to get another of in time but haven't decided what build yet (though leaning toward the kheres assault cannons).

Working on expanding my HQ selection for HH forces I present my Legion Champion with Artificer Armour and power weapon.

Really nice mod of that model-- I hadn't thought of that similarity with the minotaurs. I might need to try incorporating SG armor in to some minotaurs. Thanks for the inspiration!

Its been a while since I updated, with work and other projects getting in the way however I've managed to build up my Veteran squad and paint up the first model for them. C&C welcome as always.
