Hmm, I would say that you don't need the defence line unless you have alot of close combat/horde players where you live. Honestly I would replace that with a Whirlwind with Extra Armour

I would keep the line as it gives anti air which your list would have none of and it provides good cover for your marines.

Is this a doubles tournament? or are you by yourself?

I recently had a good doubles tourney at 1250 each and I took the following:

Wolf Priest - no upgrades
Wolf Guard x9 - 5 combi-melta, 2 power sword, 1 power fist, 2 wolf claws, MOTW
Drop Pod

Grey Hunters x10 - 2 Melta, MOTW, Power fist, Banner
Drop Pod

Grey Hunters x10 - 2 Melta, MOTW, Power fist, Banner
Drop Pod

Grey Hunters x10 - 2 Plasma, MOTW, Banner
Drop Pod

Dreadnaught - Heavy Flamer
Drop Pod.


List was brutal, but I also had 1250 of IG holding the back field for me. If you don't have that kind of support, I'd stick with the double long fangs.

Keep the ADL - you need the AA.

Your single plasma-cannon kind of seems out of place. I'd go with just another ML and then put all of the lascannons in the same squad. But if you decide to keep the Plasma cannon then don't put any lascannons in the same squad.

Also, I'd probably put the terminators in the drop pod with combi-meltas and put the power armor dudes with the GH's. The guys in the DP are more likely to need 2+ / 5+ saves right away.

1 off plasma cannons are brutal. Don't forget Long Fangs have split fire so the targets are las at mech and plasma at troops.

Oh I get that. It's just that if your LF sergeant dies, or if he mans the quad gun, you can't split fire anymore. So it's best to put all of your anti-tank type weapons in one squad and all of your ant-infantry type weapons in the other. But since ML's can do either, you can mix missiles in with either PC's or LC's.

Its a solo tour and i split the JC because the will be a target at the same unit
