1. Do ICs get a cover save if whatever unit he's joined are 25% obscured from the sniper on a precision strike?

2. It says that they Vindicare Assassin ALWAYS gets to allocate wounds caused by him. So can you take a LoS on this from this? and does the Shield Breaker remove the ICs invul?

Looking at the LoS rules it says:
First:
1. On a roll of 4+ the LoS is successful, then pick a model with in 6" and RESOLVE IT AGAINST THEM
Second
2. If the unit only consist.......no further attempts to reallocate it can be made.

According to the first part, you would be jumping to the resolve part which would be taking saves already,
but,
according to the 2nd part, you would be reallocating it again.
This is contradicting in a way.

If it is reallocating, since the Vindicare Assassin's rules say that every wound caused by him is allocated by him, then he would be able to allocate back to the IC.

so if you use the 1st part, you lose the the shield breaker and the wound goes onto a model in the unit.
but if you use the 2nd part, you lose the shield AND the wound goes to the IC.


I might not be correct but can anyone point out problems with my interpretation?

1) cover saves are determined on a model by model basis. If the guy in question isn't 25% obscured he doesn't get cover.

2) Yes you get LoS. And the Shield Breaker actually breaks both the character's invuln and the guy that jumps in front of him as both get allocated the wound, but the LoS means the character doesn't take the wound.

I thought if the unit was obscured more than 25% then your entire unit uses cover save or you can just focus fire.

I saw a lot of other people arguing about it but nobody every mentioned the ALWAYS part, and shield breaker

No, cover is now a model by model basis. You allocate a wound to the closest model, check for cover, roll save. If dead move on to next guy. If alive keep making saves till dead or all wounds are gone.

To hit models that arn't the closest.
