My nearest store is 45 minutes away so I can't just trip down there and open up the DA codex, and I'm not sure I want to.

Here it is. I have a well painted army of Imperial Fists. I just wonder if bothering with DA is worth it.

Question, in your opinion are Vanilla Marines now going to be, underwhelming?

I like the look of DA, but the thing is, all the new paint models and another codex. It is not like I am a Fotm player, far from it (I dind't start 40k with Necrons), I just would like to win sometimes. I love the game, but loosing sucks. I don't always lose or win, it's pretty good, but...

It's just the time effort and money involved with getting what I would want from the DA, and with half that money I could bolster my Imperial Fists force quite nicely.

Just got the book so I havent read it thoroughly, but there's quite a few things Vanilla SM can do that DA couldnt, Sternguards with Pedro for example, DA doesnt even have Sternguards. (Or Vanguards, but those arent great in SM anyway)
