So in the back of the codex that has all the weapon profiles its say's the gun has rapid fire while in the armory section it does not have this rule listed so gow would you all play it?

Rapid Fire until a FAQ/errata says otherwise IMO.

Seems the most logical way to play it

Its rapid fire, too bad they nerfed the range and made the bikes cost as much as terminators, they may have been playable at 30-35 points a model, but at 42, just get a terminator.

Eh i think the blacknights could still be useful.

iOS version has Rapid Fire, Twin Linked, Gets Hot. listed as the special rules for the Plasma Talon in all the entries.
Looks like someone else did the proofreading on that version, as it's not the only thing that differs.

I also think the Black Knights could be quite good.
18" range on a bike isn't bad (Ork Bikers prove that quite nicely) add to that the Corvus Hammer (S5 Rending) and 4 attacks on the charge, and you get a quite powerful unit.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

I really don't think 42 points is unreasonable, a regular Ravenwing Biker with plasma gun is the same cost, comparatively, the black knights lose 6" of gun range but gain twin-linked, an option for a pretty neato grenade launcher, get a Corvus Hammer, an extra attack on their profile, a bolt pistol to go with their hammers for another extra attack, and skilled rider for a 4+ cover save normally (up to a 3+ when turbo boosting), yeah they cost points, but the idea that they are either overpriced or somehow invalidated by the existence of Deathwing is pretty laughable.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

Yes i see palidins and obliterators alot and with the rad grenade launcher option it makes them much easier to take out then with monsterous creatures a minus to there toughness with the plasma talons seems quite useful.
