Just a general tactics question...do Tyranid players think there is a best order for rolling psychic powers? Or is it always match-up dependent? Even if it depends on the opponent, are there any "rules" you always go by?

To clarify, I'm talking about the order for each psyker - roll the powers for the Hive Tyrant first, then the Tervigons second, etc.

The main trouble I'm having is deciding between the Zoanthropes and the Tervigons. If I do the Zoanthropes last, and I have plenty of Endurance/Enfeeble, I can keep a great AT power and a decent anti-MEQ power. If I do the Tervigons last, I can keep Catalyst and make sure that I have some FnP in the army, if needed.

Maybe it would be best to alternate; Tervigon, Zoanthropes, then another Tervigon? Thoughts?

I'd do Zoanthropes last so that way you can find out whether it's even worth switching out their powers or not.

ON the rare occasions I run Trevigons, I will do them last to be sure I can get at least one FNP power.

Zoanthrope broods have a special order for me. First one rolls TK, if it gets Gate, the next one rolls TP, otherwise on the TK, if it gets Gate, number stays book otherwise it gets Bio or TK.

If you are running two Tervigons, do one before and one after.

Yeah I like to hold at least one Tervigon off to guarantee at least some FNP

Guess it depends on what's in your list.

Last list I ran used a Flyrant and 3 tervigons. Each rolled for their owns stuff

For me Tyrants are always going for Biomancy so it doesn't matter when they roll. But I tend to save the Zoanthropes for last. Iif I get enough Endurance or Enfeeble out of the Tervigons, I may roll for powers on 1 Zoanthrope in each brood, then leave codex powers on the other. So one buffs the other shoots. But more often then not I'm rolling anyway, you can never have too much Endurance or Enfeeble (unless there is a lot of mech) in my book . For a frame of reference for the psykers in my army I usually at minimum have 2 Tyrants, 2 Tervigons, and 4 Zoanthropes.

I'm usually buying 3 powers for my 2 tervigons so I am already gambling/paying 30 extra points so I always roll biomancy. Iron arm, endurance or enfeeble are likely to be one of the powers so I say what the hell. I am also running a pair or flyrants and a DoM so hopefully more endurance shows up. I like the gamble, makes for a more interesting game to me. Plus catalyst isn't as good as endurance, I find it one of the funnest parts of the match rolling for powers.
