Hi everyone, I am currently building a team of chaos havocs using the new forge world auto cannon set. I don't want to use the backpack ammo feeders however and would much prefer a look similar to the ammo belts that hang out of the blotters and heavy blotters of the chaos marines. Any idea on where to look to fins some shells to use. I could easily make belts if I had the shells. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Thanks for any help!

The FW Autocannon pack would be my first choice.

If not those, then use a Heavy Bolter and add styrene tubing for the barrel.

I have ordered the auto cannon set you are talking about. What I am trying to avoid is the backpack ammo feed, I am looking for a auto cannon sized shell I can use to make belts that would hang out of the gun instead. Sorry if that wasn't clear in the original post.

You could use the ammo belts that come with ork big shootas.

(Psst... it's "bolter", not "blotter")

Zinge is a bits company that makes flexible ammo belts. I've ordered from them in the past and was happy with what I got.

Do you ave any pics of your AC havocs? I was considering picking up a squad and wanted to see how the FW bits look in practice.

Those ammo belts are perfect! Thanks Stormfather! I don't have them built yet, but I will be happy to put some picks up once they are. Thanks again for the link to that site.

Might have to consider Zinge myself. Personally I'm considering options more for Devastator-type Heavy Bolters which I have 4 of rather than Autocannons which I have none of at this time (though I'll get some autocannons sooner or later too, though). I like heavy bolters, but the loyalist marine ones have that ugly ammo belt and huge backpack, which is meh compared to the scout just carrying the awesomesauce gun which is just as powerful and has a nice ammo box mag! In general an ammo box or a drum could be a good option in addition to an ammo belt (which going by official models is more of a Chaos/Ork thing), but I'm not sure how the Anvil Industry drum for example would look like on a marine HB.
