I am not much of a painter as you can see, but I would like to ask your opinion on the white knee armour. A friend suggested it because the red shoulder pad was kind of drawing the attention from the rest of the model. Now I think the white overpowers everything else.



I could do the other shoulder in red, or I could try and darken the knees, IMO they look like a soccer team now. Not exactly the look I was going for.

That bad?

I like them, but the knees do detract attention. Maybe just use a few washes/drybrushes to darken the red and white and tone them down to the rest of the model?

I quite like them but I would agree with Buca, try applying a few washes on top of the white to darken it. I think that would make it look alot better because atm, as you mentioned aswell, its kinda taking away from the rest of the model.

I am not a fan of the white knee pads. I think it makes the model look unfinished and doesn't provide a strong enough contrast to the yellow. I think, either keeping the knee pads yellow, or selecting a more contrast color (black?) might make the models stand out a little more.
