Been checking out the rules for the Tau Tetra in the FW update that went out a while ago.

It lists the Tetra as having the following special rules:

Scout
Marker Beacon
Forward Observer

Scout is obviously in the rulebook, and Marker beacons is explained in the PDF itself.
But i can't find a definition or rule for Forward Observer.

Could someone point me in the right direction? Even telling me what book it is in would be a great help.

I think it is another rule, like the old Fiery Demagogue rule, that does nothing

It was added new intended to do something, but never defined.

There is a strategem by that name in Apocalypse if I recall correctly. Allows units to reroll scatter dice for blast weapons.

If the rule ever does actually come to exist, I'd say that it will probably work like the Marker Beacon, except it affects the scatter dice for Blast weapons instead of Deep Strikes.

Tau and Space Wolves since 5th Edition.

As in it's in the apoc books or an apoc asset?

Why would they put that on a unit that clearly says "40k" on the unit entry?!

As all 40K compliant units will also be usable in Apocalypse format

(but not the other way round)
